Week 4 Post-Game Thread: Patriots 38, Dolphins 7

I think the Reiss piece today stated that the team doesn't expect him back this year. Sounds like something serious.
Reiss is also the one who said it was likely that Gordon wouldn't play until week 6..

Respect to you, Ice. This is where someone may accuse me of being a homer, but I will not entirely judge Brady entirely until the offense as a whole starts stringing together a few games of NFL caliber performances. I will not judge Brady entirely until Edelman is back. I will not judge Brady entirely until we see if the outside guys can play more consistently. Hogan still hasn't done much this season.

Let's see if the they can build on this game. It just makes no sense to me otherwise. This team put up 38 points today after only scoring 10 last week against a Lions team that really isn't that good. Untill today, his most consistent help has been James White and he barely played last week. This week we saw everyone contribute, even Gordon. He looks like he can be something really good out there. Hopefully Gronk's injury isn't long-term. If Michel can further open things up by being a viable threat in the run game, we may be seeing the offensive turnaround most of us feel is coming. Then we can judge more accurately the GOAT. Football is a team sport like no other.

Definitely fair enough points here. That I had a bad daydream about Brady may not have a real basis in reality; these were my subjective thoughts.

To be fair it seemed to trend that way until Friday.

I understand completely, Ice.

One important factor in signing him was he's experienced ST player.
He singlehandedly deactivated at least 2 Pats DEs (Grissom and Rivers) who play just one side of the ball - thus freeing another spot (this time used for additional DBs who are also best ST options esp. Crossen)..

Grissom also plays on STs on the lines.. Though they showed that they didn't need him there today..

Very possible . Most people here would be happy with Roberts on IR . I hope the boy shakes it off as the usual and keeps up the fight..

I'm never happy when players get injured even if I don't like the player.. Injuries suck no matter who it is..

Yep. Not their fault. No accountability
And that's precisely why Miami will finish with less than 10 wins while we finish with more than 10.

Loved this game. Felt like we're onto Cincinnati all over again and frankly, Miami looked pissed out there. I think they thought they were as good as their record. Inb4 by season halfway Miami has 3-4 losses and struggles to 9-7.

It's going to be a long evening for the Colts, if true.

Also, good job by the coach making that information public before you have to put out an injury report.

Dolts will be Dolts

But he doesn't really play on D - that was the point there (although he did show some improvement this preseason).

Great if you can add a guy midseason who can replace two spots on your active roster . esp. with Jules coming..

Pros:
Michel showed everyone what he can do for this team
Gordon Looks sharp and happy which is massive.
Gronk seemed in the game more
Dorsett was more solid today.
O-Line and DLine were much improved.
Cons
Brady picks were very unlike him
Gronk had to leave early.
