I miss seeing Brady’s deep balls now. We used to hate them but at least they worked sometimes because now nothing is working well. Having bigger receivers will help too.

How much is he making? I'm not against getting him as insurance for Gordon not working out, or an upgrade over Patterson on the actual WR depth chart, but if it ends up being just the latter, it will depend on price. Also, if Gordon acclimates and Edelman comes back, I expect Hogan and Dorsett (who have the benefit of time with the team in camp) would be in line for the next wave of targets. I'm not sure Matthews would see a huge volume here either.

I interrupt this thread to share some very shocking news. I haven’t followed baseball for quite a long time, but I just saw that Mets pitcher Jacob deGrom finished the season with a 1.70 ERA, 269 strikeouts, and didn’t allow over three runs in any of his last 29 consecutive starts.

His win-loss record was incredibly just 10-9.

How is that possible?

As for Matthews, I'd be all over it. For whatever reason, he's been frozen out in Tennessee. But he's 28 and can run every route in the book.

With last night's win the Mets have scored exactly 100 runs in the 32 games in which he has started. Sad.

The other reason why he only has 10 wins is these days pitchers only go 5-6 innings. DeGrom goes about 6 2/3 a start so there is a lot of baseball left after he leaves the game.

Yeah. Without Jeffry, the Eagles’ WR situation is pretty desperate.
