Boy does that guy suck. Frank Ragnow was pushing him around like he was made of paper. There was one third down run where Ragnow pushed Shelton aside and then grabbed Guy or Brown or one of those other stiffs and shoved him aside too and Blount just walked through the hole for a couple yards. I mean, Ragnow is very good obviously but you can't have a nose tackle who gets moved off the line like he's not even there.

It's too soon to give up on him, and I'm not asking for All Pro status from the man. He just needs to be 2016 Alan Branch, instead of 2017 Alan Branch, though I'm not sure that 2017 Alan Branch wouldn't be an upgrade to Shelton right now. But all of those posters who were bashing those of us who suggested a wait and see approach with the guy need a (metaphorical) beating of epic proportions.

michel was a wasted pick...he hasn't shown much.. speed, burst, or wiggle. Any RB can do what he does in this pass heavy league. I just assumed this kid would be very good or better considering BB doesn't think highly of the position.,...so I figured he must be special. BB has made a lot of iffy or just plain bad moves in last few years.
he has played 2 games without a pre season and is a rookie.

Bill got undressed this offseason, that’s for damn sure.

Drafting a running back in the first, trading Cooks for peanuts, not addressing the defensive line...

Woof.

Jamie Collins, Chandler Jones, Danny Amendola, LeGarrette Blount, Malcom Butler, Dion Lewis, Jamaal Sheard, Akiem Hicks...

They’re all laughing right now.

Implying what? That we should have kept all those guys? Ok, if we paid all of them would we just have 43 rookies/vets on a minimum?

The last two weeks have consisted of one of the worst offenses in the league shredding us and one of the worst defenses shutting us down. Is 8-8 optimistic?

The recent poor use of draft picks may finally catch up to this team. I hope not but that’s probably my main takeaway.

Yes. I think so too. Look at the last 3 draft classes and it's brutal. That's why the D sucks so much, except Flowers and maybe Wise non of the drafted guys are good enough to be starters. The high earners are not performing either. Hightower, McCourty and Gilmore are being paid at an top5 at their position level and none of them plays like that.

We've seen this narrative before so I'm somewhat surprised that people are proclaiming the end of the season.

The team doesn't look very good ... right now. That can change, of course. Shelton and Brown could play to their potential; Gordon and Edelman will become involved and no doubt help the offense; Flowers and Chung will return; I expect Valentine will be promoted to the 53-man roster; a trade for a competent LB or S could still be made.

Things don't look good but it's far from a dire situation. Three games of a sixteen game season have been played; nothing has been decided yet.

Certainly it's disappointing to see the team play that poorly but I don't think you can extrapolate much from three games.

Next week is a big game and a loss against Miami would certainly elicit some legitimate panic, especially re: AFC East standings. But there's no reason to get too high or too low as of yet. History tells us we should expect things will improve.

Is it possible this team will still be very bad in a few months? Sure. But the quality of play right now is not necessarily reflective of what the quality of play will be in November.

A win next week and the prospects of the team and the remainder of their season, as well as the outlook of the fans, will be much different. Going home to Foxborough will certainly help.

Michelle was much better in the 2nd half. We have to realize he’s a rookie that missed all pre season and some training camp. The problem was the play calling and our D couldn’t get off the field on 3rd down.

Lots to work on, Miami is a must win next week, offence will look better with Edelman and Gordon should make plays if he has single coverage due to doubling Gronk.

Lack of speed at LB’s been a problem for several years. BB has done nothing about it. Brady needs great slot receivers for easy completions and keep the chain moving and BB has done nothing about it again. That BB the GM is....

Bill's going to get destroyed by the media this week and he'll just keep giving his same, useless responses. I think he's going to start to realize that act of avoiding questions is only cute when you're winning.
Otherwise what ? They going to fire him ? Even if they go 1-15 he isnt getting fired. Sorry to let your hopes down.

BBs system of fatties on the D line is blowing up in his face this season.

He still won't change though. It will be his downfall

BB isn’t very happy. Wonder if some cuts/trades are coming. Thats the biggest way to shake up a team.

Make Wise, Brady and Flowers captains.

There's plenty of ammo if you're looking to attack Bill over the off-season, but Cooks for a 1st round pick was peanuts? Really? In what reality is that peanuts?

They did address the DL. They brought in people. Just because it isn't working yet doesn't mean they didn't try to address it.

Drafting a RB in the first round - I'm not sure what that is even supposed to mean. They picked the guy they felt was a good value at that spot and it's only 2 games into his career. So far not so great, but I'm one of those types who likes to give players a whole, I dunno, 3 games, before I start rushing to call them a bust.

Trading Cooks for peanuts...They got a 1st rounder for him, what are you talking about?

Did Rivers even see the field tonight?
