You better stick with hockey junior, as you are an obvious AJ style BB can do no wrong homer. PS, Rask is garbage too. :p

Again, anyone who claims to have watched this team as long as you did and uttered the "cap is crap" is not worth discussing football with.

I am embarrassed for you.

Bill needs to give up the GM duties...We need someone like Piolo scouting players again. I miss those days.
Caserio kind of plays that same role. He’s got a pretty good record.

What is Flores supposed to do with the **** sandwich Bill is giving him. Slow old safeties, average corners sans Gilmore, young corners with little nfl experience, slow overpaid linebackers, d line that can't rush the passer or stop the run. Also Bill oversees everything which means Flores has little control over what's going on.

Not to mention Bill's methodology for drafting defense is outdated and picking at the pack for 2 decades doesn't help. Not to mention all the wasted picks on second round corners and wide receivers.
Pretty much spot on.

The defense has no talent. No defensive guru can fix that.

The Pats are 2 games out of the division lead....OMG, been a long time since that happened !

most of this is on belichick...but brady was terrible.

the roster just isn't good. why did we let amendola go??? who's his replacement? patterson? he can't stay on his feet. letting cooks go and having doresett as the replacement is idiotic. letting dion lewis leave and relying on burkhead who can't stay healthy...

recent draft picks have stunk as well.

I wasn't freaking out last week and I don't think I'm being hysterical now when I posted my 8-8 or lower thread (that the mods deleted). This is an average to below average NFL roster. We've got a few talented guys and managed to lose a ton of talented guys who were the cornerstones of our roster from a teammate perspective. Amendola, Lewis, and Solder -- especially Amendola -- were key guys. The defense has lost so much talent year-over-year we're finally seeing the other shoe drop as Hightower and D. McCourty have lost a step and can't patch the deficiencies over.

Lastly, we can see the result of our defensive coordinator leaving. Patricia helped to get an average roster into a position to win a Super Bowl. That was an accomplishment and kudos to him on the win tonight. Without that consistency, this defense is seeking out a new identity while struggling to jog across the field against the speedsters of other NFL rosters.

I'm happy to watch the Patriots each week even when they're below average. But let's not delude ourselves into thinking this is a good team this year. Let's call it like it is: Bill wasn't aggressive enough during the offseason and failed to secure invaluable teammates like Amendola. Hopefully we can make some trades before the deadline; a few blockbuster deals that improve our roster is the only way I can see this season turning around.

Just wanted to say I haven’t seen BB look as angry as he did at the end of this game in a while... He looked like he was coming for blood on someone... It’s not gonna be a great week in the film room.

Honestly I am just at a bit of a loss offensively. They were getting blown up in the run game too often. Burkhead is hurt yet again, Michel is unproven, White is White. At WR, you’ve got Hogan and Patterson right now. Dorsett got hurt, he game back but who knows if that was just to close out the game or if he’s really injured... No idea where Gordon is at right now. Edelman is still a week away but we don’t really know if we can count on him to be his usual self right away or if there’ll be rust. At TE you’ve got... Gronk.

Theoretically if Dorsett and Burkhead are out next week and Hollister remains hurt then you’ve got a skill position group of Michel, White, Hogan, Patterson, Gordon (maybe), Gronk and Allen. And that’s basically it. Not sure what’s to say about that.

They should keep forcing the ball to Michel. He's clearly not ready, but it helps put the team behind early, and that's what you want out of an undermanned squad in the NFL. You want big deficits to pair with your ****ty defense. It's a recipe for success!

It wouldn’t. In fact should have happened a month ago.

But some folks on here would rather not “deal with Dez” and lose games with the pile of dog crap we have on offense.

We already have Gordon. Adding Dez doesn’t do squat but improve the talent.

Exactly what would it hurt to bring Dez in? It's Dez Bryant he will draw coverage in the red zone on top of Gronk/Edelman/Gordon/Hogan so why the hell not? It's somebody that will draw coverage so grab him.

Unfortunately no bright spots tonight and I’m the ultimate optimist.....but Brady’s last year here (most likely I feel..BB too) is not going to end well.....when u struggle this HARD against one of WORST defenses in the league....it is disheartening. Pats defense is absolutely awful...time for a reboot...what a wake up call

Not many positives at all here. We have to improve and improve fast. Defense was really bad and our offense wasn't much better.

Here is a positive thought:

Jules comes back in two weeks, hopefully Gordon will help as well.
Let's discuss

The Patriots started 2-2 and allowed 32 PPG during Weeks 1-4 last season. They lost 2 games the rest of the season (one of which was the Super Bowl).

Wonder if the lack of run game was due to the lack of weapons and the LBers and safeties cheating up.

This is probably the worst front 7 of the Belichick era.

Things are dire now! Staffords record against teams that end with a winning season has spoken!

Time to pack it up boys. We can't defeat stats. Let's all pick up something else to do for the fall.

Ok seriously now, we better ****ing get a kick in the ****ing butt. We need to turn this around! Let's correct the mistakes, move on the Miami. and let's do what we gotta do. Let's win this thing! Let's GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

P.S. I'm ****ing pissed off about this right now. or maybe just very agitated.

We won the Saints game a few years ago like that.

is kenbrell thompkins still playing??? aaron dobson???

gilmore, flowers, mccourty are the only ones worth a damn on defense. maybe hightower...but he looks old.

The good news is that Danny Shelton has come right in and really turned the run defense into a force to be reckoned with.

Boy does that guy suck. Frank Ragnow was pushing him around like he was made of paper. There was one third down run where Ragnow pushed Shelton aside and then grabbed Guy or Brown or one of those other stiffs and shoved him aside too and Blount just walked through the hole for a couple yards. I mean, Ragnow is very good obviously but you can't have a nose tackle who gets moved off the line like he's not even there.

Exactly what would it hurt to bring Dez in? It's Dez Bryant he will draw coverage in the red zone on top of Gronk/Edelman/Gordon/Hogan so why the hell not? It's somebody that will draw coverage so grab him.
Doesn’t matter...OL and Defense suck
