Exactly what would it hurt to bring Dez in? It's Dez Bryant he will draw coverage in the red zone on top of Gronk/Edelman/Gordon/Hogan so why the hell not? It's somebody that will draw coverage so grab him.
Yup.

But he’s “a cancer” they all say!!! LOL

We have Dorsett running seam routes double covered because not a soul besides Gronk puts a lick of fear into any defenders.

So if Dorsett is hurt, does that mean we can start sending slater back out for deep bombs?

Those plays were by far more dynamite than these ones to Dorsett.

most of this is on belichick...but brady was terrible.

the roster just isn't good. why did we let amendola go??? who's his replacement? patterson? he can't stay on his feet. letting cooks go and having doresett as the replacement is idiotic. letting dion lewis leave and relying on burkhead who can't stay healthy...

recent draft picks have stunk as well.
It's probably crazy to say, but it almost feels like Bill is tanking the roster to chase Brady out of here. Since Kraft won't let Brady go and Belichick wants to prove he can do it without Brady, I have to wonder. Almost trading Gronk? Almost causing Brady to retire? Belichick is either fading or he is making moves to get the team good in 2021.

I think we need to swing a trade and send 54 packing. Contract the LB core around Bentley

I’m sadly starting to come around to that viewpoint. Bentley does seem like he might be solid.

On the plus side:

I liked what a I saw from Michel in the run game when the abysmal run blocking didnt screw him. He needs to work on his reception skills.

Bentley continues to make rookie mistales but also keeps flashing. That INT in coverage was pretty good.

And thats pretty much anything positive I can come up with. And that is stretching it already.

Pretty much everything else was a debacle. The worst part was that the team looked similarly flat as they did last week in Jacksonville.

Gotta wait to rewatch some of it before judging individual players but Hightower still looks slow, Shelton has been no help in the last two games after a good start against the Texans and the OL is way to inconsistent in run blocking but also sometimes in pass pro.

The offense was similarly abysmal. Something must gone wrong when game planning because whatever Josh wanted to attack definitely did not work.

On to Miami I suppose.

The defense is so bad, that I think that even Brady doesn’t th8nk he can score enough to win. then add to the fact that he played a game tonight without any WR of any talent at all.

Brady, Gronk, and Gilmore are the only guys with any talent at all. Hightower is a shell of himself. B.B. the GM has killed this dynasty. Years of bad draft picks and letting great players go for peanuts in return.

Cooks for a guard, who will never pan out
Jones for a bag of magic beans
Collins given away for nothing.

If you keep getting players that failed in Cleveland, sooner or later you become Cleveland!!!

Putrid. So going back to the Super Bowl, BB has been outcoached 3 out of 4 games. I know he's a "legend" but between his teams poor efforts and his ineptness at putting a roster together you have to start to wonder if the end of his road is near...
Dementia is a real thing and it comes on quick.

Brady didn't play very well at all. That pick was horrendous - and based on my eyes, that kind of mistake really started with Cooks' emergence last year. Brady throws it deep down the field with Cooks/Dorsett running down against 2+ defenders. Out of all the picks he's thrown, that's got to account for at least 50% of them. Outside of that, the OL wasn't terrible. Brady had plenty of time in the pocket, and by virtue of WRs not getting open, or himself, plays weren't made. Amendola is the real WR that we needed in these situations, not a Josh Gordon.

Every team's foundation is its last 5 years of draft picks and its QB. We're still doing great in the QB department, but the overall talent deficiency is 5 years in the making. I worried it would come eventually, should have realized it was coming sooner. The sum total that this team has to show for the last 5 years of round 1-3 picks is a handful of JAGs. Belichick had done an indefensibly ****ty job drafting for five solid years and this is the inevitable result.

Luckily nobody in the AFC is especially good, so even if they dig the hole deeper next week (which I fully expect) they'll still have a pretty easy path to a bye if they pull their heads out of their asses and play some actual football. Having the GOAT QB gives us that luxury

Again, anyone who claims to have watched this team as long as you did and uttered the "cap is crap" is not worth discussing football with.

I am embarrassed for you.
Cry your manly tears lil fella.
The cap can easily be manipulated. We've seen plenty of teams do it. The Jest a few years back, Denver when they won their last SB,the Rams right now. It's doable. Are we really debating this? We couldn't have paid Dola 6mil/year?! Really?! BB screwed TB this year dude.

This offense is complicated for whatever reason. Not to mention he's slow, has bad hands, and has a limited skill tree. More important are the problems on defense that won't be rectified this season.

Brady would get killed if they tried to pass more. He can't get rid of the ball because no one's open. It's a sad state of affairs for this group.

It’s our better option though. Pass protection is better than the run blocking. Should have used white more. He would have caught those early screens and continued our drives. Only way we can open running lanes since defenses don’t seem to care about our passing game.

i have all kinds of thoughts. it's just surreal..the roster was poorly built. should of kept dion lewis...cooks.

cooks could get open deep and make some plays. dorsett is a bust.
