Don't make the mistake of assuming just because of where he was drafted that there has to be something special about him.
That being said it will be interesting to see if he can handle the McOffense and maybe more importantly being a WR4 with only a couple of snaps per game. Maybe he can follow the route Dorsett took last year busting his ass and being in a great position this preseason to become a starter.
Bills took a $3.5 M dead money hit to cut him.Presumably minimum salary since the Bills are still paying him. That’s the right price for a tryout like this.
Corey Coleman - Player Profile Advanced Stats, Metrics & Analytics
One of the best analytical draft profiles for a WR in recent history. People asked for someone with talent above the typical scrap heap WR. Maybe we can turn him into a Woodhead/Lewis situation.
EDIT: Forgot about the other thread. Oops.
He can threaten every level of the field and his route running has been pretty precise. His issues are his health (which should make him a perfect fit in New England... half joking) and the reported inability to digest the Jills' offense (hopefully fake news or he'll completely fail here). For low dollars, it's a very worthwhile investment. I'm just happy that Belichick recognizes the need at the position and decided to try to do something for it with what he has available.

I don’t think that’s possible. Only the salary goes to the team that gets the player in a trade. The dead money would have stayed in Cleveland. The bills got out for free, except for the pick if it was not conditional.Bills took a $3.5 M dead money hit to cut him.
