Yeah, I mean they have Burkhead, a 1st round pick, and White. They're not in bad shape at running back. Hill's special teams work is going to be more difficult to replace
Yeah, and I would like a bigger body there. Hill has a real role that isn't easily replaced within the current RB corps. But big bodied RBs aren't exactly hard to find. I hate it for hill specifically but in terms of replacing his production I'm not super worried
Without a power back, the Pats become one dimensional and predictable (pass, pass, pass). Burkhead kind of plays a power game but he's definitely not a power back. Don't mind me, I'm a little salty about RBs and Bill's decision making with them sometimes (Jonas Gray).
Watching that James White run makes me miss Hill already. For as nice of a pass catcher and route runner White is, he's an entirely useless runner. Goes down in a stiff wind.

Because Gillislee and Bolden sucked at running back and presumably they figured Bolden's special teams play could be replaced by someone else. You don't just keep bodies.
That’s fine, he had 4 really strong carries and is a good player
It’s when it jumps to the “OMG belichick is going to pay for not having Gillislee on the squad” and “Gronk and Develin are moron trash” level that’s LOL worthy, because that’s not about concern for Hill as a player or person, or disappointment with the play, it’s just about wanting something to **** on and complain about

I agree long term, he seems like a guy that might be lucky to stick around long enough to get a second contract. Short term, though, I think there's reasonable hope that he'll be a contributor. Missed enough of the preseason that I do think it'll be a while before he's up to speed, though
