Richards Absolutely WAS Traded to Atlanta?

What an utter and complete waste of a second round draft pick. Bill once again tried to be the smartest guy in the room and draft a player most people thought was a 7th round pick or UDFA....yet Bill wastes a second rounder on him....

The Patriots reached in the 2015 draft to select Richards in the second round (64th overall) out of Stanford.

In return for Richards, the Patriots will receive a conditional seventh-round pick … in 2020.

Nuff said.

It's over now, he can't hurt us any more. Time to let go....

And David Johnson was drafted in the next round....sigh.

They got back the pick they should have burned on him in the first place. What a monumental miss.

If someone ever writes a book in 10 years (or whenever) about BBs tenure I would love to hear/read what the hell went so terribly wrong with their draft evaluation of Richards. All combine/pro day tests showed his lack of athleticism and yet it looked like BB, Caserio & co. didn't put much stock into them.

Someone must have used the metric system without telling others and screwed up all the values.

Just something about that second round and D-Backs:
'08 - Terrence Wheatley
'09 - Darius Butler
'11 - Glass-I Dowling
'12 - Tavon Wilson
'15 - Jordan Richards
'16 - Cyrus Jones

Butler and Wilson and some moments but .. not really many.

And it's not just DBs in round 2 - -they've also had Jermaine Cunningham and Aaron Dobson. And, you know, Jimmy G.

I wouldn’t put Cyrus Jones in the bust category yet...

Bill likes smart players. He went to Stanford.
