Why not just IR him? Odds are someone is getting banged up later in the year. He looked great at OTA.

He has a very low dead cap so maybe that helped the decision. But his overall cap hit wasnt bad

Straight cut is the fastest way to potentially bring him back.

They just ran out of patience

They were extremely patient for BBs standards. He's not practicing. Tried a bit and went back to rehab unit. They need a healthy WR weeks 1-4. He might be coming back if hamstring allows full go. Its not like teams are hungry for average veteran WRs who are not able to practice at the end of August..

I was just thinking that. He is vested in the NFL so they can cut and resign at any time if nobody else grabs him,

Possibly a signal that decker is coming along.

I think CP has a chance to be a starter. They seem to like him and he has been effective on other teams as a solid weapon.
I'm in the group that is cautiously optimistic we might get more out of CP than previous teams and might even get a big surprise. But for now I still think Dorsett is higher on the depth chart and the team probably thinks he'll be the more consistent of the 2.

As mentioned, cut him and wait out the hamstring. Then you could bring him back at any time. Otherwise he would have had to make the 53, then be IRd then wait 6 weeks to practive, 8 to play.

One of them or decker is going to have a chance to prove what they can do.
I think whichever one of the 3 that earns the role is gong to surprise with their production

Just a note on how connected Pats beats really are.

A few hours ago some accidental twitterman speculated Britt will be IRed. Giardi answered “not what im hearing“.

To remember about their “sources“ when “reporting“ about state of Pats injury or state of Pats in general.. They dont have a clue.

We quite possibly have the weakest WR corp in the history of the Brady/Belichick era and some people on here continue to act like Dez Bryant is the antichrist....

It’s time to bring him in for a workout.

BB should send a 1st and 2nd to the Rams for Brandin Cooks. He had good numbers last year.

Nah, the '06 season was far worse....and we were a phantom PI call on Hobbs away from a Superbowl vs. the Grossman Bears....

If you’re talking about the Giardi tweet I’m looking at, that was about Michel, not Britt.

I'd say 2013 was worse.

Agree on Dez though...give him a one year prove-it deal, cut him if he shows any problems integrating with the clubhouse. There's no reason not to.

He did actual football drills yesterday for the first time in months, so my guess is that he’s healthy but they decided after two days of practice that he’s just too far behind.

He did ind. drills before and went back to rehab. No one could report about his further participation. My guess is he is not healthy to fully participate..

That 2006 group may take the cake, and the 2013 group isn’t far behind, but this 2018 group is an injury to Hogan away from being a disaster.

If we’re heavily relying on Eric Decker, Phillip Dorset and Cordarrelle Patterson to be our studs, we’re in trouble.

Dorsett, Decker and Cord are all gambles. Risk diversification.

I still expect a trade.

Dez should text Brady
Rob does anything Tom wants
Dez should get on Bradys good side.
Show hes ready to be a professional.

It was from today, the speculation was on Britt and his answer was to that (unless im hallucinating which should never be out of the question..). Its not on his timeline i believe since he was just answering another tweet..

In any case they never really know about any injury situation despite buzzing around or any inside situation for that matter. So we'll just have to be patient with Michel, Cannon news (unless something comes from Rap, Shefty) and while being optimistic ill wait they first come to the practice field..

I want to see what CP can do. They are certainly paying him enough,
