Dont'a Hightower on the trade block?

Well, everyone is subject to trade or release, but I don't see this happening. Maybe in the off-season, prior to the draft, but not now.

I've been wrong before, but that trade just doesn't make a lot of sense.

Wait for the moslot thread asking if we’d trade Hightower to Cleveland for a 4th and 7th round pick.

Very skeptical.. they JUST gave him a long term deal last year, and if they wanted to trade him they would have done it prior to the draft. Unless they were to trade him for another player who could help out right now, it wouldnt make sense

Hightower for Mack or Donald, sure (not going to happen). Our D line would be the filthiest in the league and our LB corps garbage.

You, all offseason: "We need more linebackers! Only Hightower is any good!"

You, after this speculation: "Makes sense."

:D:D:D
We need hightower! Only way this makes sense is if we trade him and use the cap space to trade for Khalil Mack, but he wants 22 mil a year...we wont pay that! So no, don't trade Hightower!

It’d fit the “WTF trade” narrative. So I guess it’s possible.

How many of those had they really had? Most every trade had an explanation - and it was all about either 1) expiring contract and team deciding they can't afford him, so want to get something in return, 2) player's contract based on past performance, not as good anymore, 3) locker room issue.

Seymour (1)
Mankins (2)
Chandler Jones (1)
Jamie Collins (1, with fears of 3 based on reduced role)
Moss (3)
Garoppolo (1)

Donte doesn't fit any of those categories unless they think he's completely fallen apart and not worth the cheap contract for a veteran of his type. And I think his performance last night showed that's not the case. This would really be a surprising trade.

Lol keep trading all the young defensive talent we’ve drafted in the past 5 years.....It’s not going to end well for this defense.

BS

It doesn't make any sense

I love Troy Brown, but he's over thinking this...Zeus hasn't played a game in 10 months....that's why.

Come on....talk about trolling. With the current linebacking corp this has zero chance of happening unless it involves Mack - ZERO. Welcome to the wonderful world of we're ALL journalists.

While I think the line of thinking that started this thread is nuts, Hightower does not qualify as young defensive talent on this team anymore.
