Unfortunate: Jordan Matthews put on IR

Are you this quick to discount people/ opportunities in real life? Jules will certainly contribute. Hell they went 3-1 in 4 games without Brady. By all accounts Dorsett is having a good camp. Mitchell may be a long shot with the knee, but he too has shown promise in the past. I think the pats have certainly been in worse shape at wr in years past and they've been fine.

I'll always believe in the team. They're the Patriots. They can do anything. Having said that, I'm looking strictly at the beginning on the regular season, so Jules can't contribute anything, hence me crossing him out.

Guys having a good camp means nothing to me. We've seen guys light it up in camp/preseason, then proceed to do nothing in the regular season. Mitchell does show promise, but the problem is his injury. It's looking more and more like he won't be ready for week 1+. Yes, you're right about them having had worse WR corps. Brady's definitely dealt with worse. In another thread, I actually just got done saying, "They're not 2013 bad." But it still looks pretty meh.

Lets just forget about WR offence and start a legend of 0 WR O.

1 and 10: D.Allen - Gronk - Hollister - Develin - Burkhead/Michel
2 and 6: D.Allen - Gronk - Hollister - Burkhead/Michel - White
3 and 2: Gronk - Hollister - Michel - Burkhead - White

if nothing works Brady can do the Mariotta and show Giselle her “husband can ****ing throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time.“

You think two garbage WR like Berrios or McCarron can replace Amendola? A proven high end #3/solid starter who is probably the best big game performing non QB in franchise history?

Really?

That's a huge stretch. And Patterson has been bad everywhere he's played in the pros so expecting anything from him is pretty optimistic

I bet you called Welker, Edelman and Amendola garbage prior to them doing something for the Pats.

How do you know that McCarron and Berrios are going to be garbage? They haven't played a down for the Pats yet. Are you clairvoyant? If not, then you're just defecating out your mouth..

As for Patterson, he was brought in to be the Kick Returner and be an outside threat on the occasion. He's one of the premier kick returners in the league. You claiming he's been bad shows that you're a pi$$ poor stat junkie.

Unfortunately, Kembrell Thompkins just signed with someone (I'm too lazy to look up whom)

edit: corrected spelling

Blue Bombers CFL

Don't know if BB is really interested in Decker, unless the injuries at WR keep piling up. Interesting the Pats signed FB Henry Poggi to fill Mathews' roster spot. I think, due to his blocking ability, he may be looked at as a blocking TE. I would rather not go into this season with Allen as the #1 blocking TE. Hopefully, either Poggi or Ryan Izzo will show enough in camp to fill that roster spot.

This goes beyond my realm of understanding..
(unless its about DA's contract which they will probably address at due time..)

btw - BB likes to have 2 FBs in camp (there are at least two groups working simultaneously..)

glad . thought this should make sense . 1M cap w only 90.000 gdt is nothing compared to possibly getting him back mid season . although seeking a second opinion (if true) probably didn't sit well w BB

EDIT: forget about “getting him back mid season“. could only happen if he waits 6 weeks after end of settlement which rarely happens (can sign with another team before)

Patterson has been a solid 3 WR (which is all he needs to be) everywhere he played for the most part. How is that "bad" considering he is one of the best KO return guys all time?

Nobody was asking him to be a 1000 yard guy here.

Where's that dude who insisted Matthews was the best slot receiver in the NFL

Allen is one of the best blocking TEs in the NFL. Whether they can make this work in his salary is another issue.

He would have been released with injury designation which is the same thing.
As a veteran he can be placed on IR in training camp. First year players cannot.

He would be eligible for one of the possible IR return slots or release with settlement if he heals and wants the opportunity to play for another team.
