Marsh describes Pats as "no fun"

Well to be honest he wasnt that much fun to watch either so...

I couldn't care less what he says, he's a loser. I am upset at the lack of preparedness and evaluation that led to the team wasting their time on him and Ealy.

I actually enjoy comments like his, they are very comical. Patriots are so mean, they actually expect me to perform all the functions of the position to the best of my ability. Sounds like a three year old.
Yeah and that's on the team. He never was good at setting the edge and he never was good at covering RB's. He was a guy whose primary role since college was being a pure pass rusher. He's the type of guy who you get when you just want an extra hand in the rotation. If the Patriots wanted to make him a project and get him more versatile and it failed, it's on them, because as a player he is what he is.

It's more annoying with people getting upset that he said didn't like the Pats and how he played him. There's some people here that lose their minds unless they hear 100% good things about the Pats. Cassius wasn't a good fit. He was a niche player who came from a culture that was a lot more lax. He didn't ask to come here, we wanted him here and made the trade for him. It not working out is more on poor expectations and evaluations.

Here's the thing he probably was performing to the best of his ability, he just wasn't good at what they wanted.

I'm glad he spoke up to BB. Saved the Patriots coaches from wasting their valuable continued time and effort getting him to be a better player. BB should have had such a role discussion with him pre-trade but I don't know how practical that is. "Hi, we're thinking of trading for you. Let's discuss your role but please don't tell Roger Goodell about my tampering."

The fun team didn't want him. The no fun team didn't want him. In terms of his football career, Mr. Marsh should be looking inward rather than spouting off about external issues that are of no longer of any concern to him.

My guess is that, while there are plenty here who can't be bothered to look beyond first impressions of issues, most people here understand and respect the difference between the likes of a Cassius Marsh and the likes of a Danny Amendola or Tedy Bruschi. If Danny or Tedy want to point out that it's not all snow days and ice cream when playing for the Patriots, that's one thing. When an incompetent like Marsh feels the need to spout off after he's gone, that's another.

Danny and Tedy were players who wanted to be here and went out of there way to be here. They could have left if they wanted. Marsh didn't have much of a choice. There's a big difference.

Some players in the league just want to play the way they play and collect a check. That's okay. This isn't the place for that. That's okay too. People just need to live and let live.

List of Cassius Marsh’s suggestions to Bill Belichick:

-Classic Donkey Kong arcade game installed in locker room
-Upgraded WiFi during practice
-Classic Donkey Kong arcade game installed on team charter plane
-Hawaain shirt and jeans day twice a weak
-Bonus arcade tokens for getting sacks
-No more playbooks where plays involve options and reads
-One (voluntary) practice per week
-Classic Donkey King arcade game installed at 50-yard line

No one knows if he could have been adequate at what was required because he admits he didn't try. He doesn't care about winning, all he wants is numbers and a paycheck. He's a loser. Too bad the Patriots put themselves in that position. Is one addition, Clayborn, enough? I think it's still the #1 question.

I like how they aggressively addressed the offensive line and made a decision on Garcia, as unfortunate as that was. Pass rusher is often the place where it just seems like they throw darts and hope they hit on something.

That's irrelevant to the point I'm making.

Funny that you don't take your own advice when it comes to, say, anthem issues.

6 sacks in five years and he's a sack specialist. Don't make me change, I'm a sack machine!!!:p:p:eek::oops:o_O

Some people have infectious diseases. Still would like the to address that before inviting them over.:p

Last year I said I hated that guy and was total garbage, and then there were people defending him.
I’m glad I am proving them wrong, this guy is total trash!!!
You get paid millions not to have fun, but do a job. Most of us don’t have fun when we go to work.

I did actually. My whole problem with the anthem issue is that you had one side demanding the other side do something differently. If it was just a disagreement I really wouldn't have any issue with the side I disagreed with. It was more than that.

As far as this, no not really. Brushci and Amendola were players who far better fit what the Patriots wanted them for and they also had the option to leave and didn't. Marsh was asked to play outside his skill set and didn't have a choice to be here. They are coming from two totally different places and one isn't more relevant than the other. It's just two different mentalities.

I agree. I wish he never came here. Browner was in that culture to and he only lasted a year. He did what he needed, but the dude was very undisciplined and drew a lot of fouls. People from that culture don't fit well here.

You understand that Bruschi was a [much better] pass rushing defensive end who completely transformed himself into an inside linebacker because it better suited him in the pros and mostly because he wanted to win. You couldn't have made a poorer comparison to this clown if you tried.

He did not "fit" the Patriots, he was a pass rushing DE with 52 sacks in college.

Again, why drag Browner into this? He did his best with what he was, a big slow guy trying to play cornerback. Without his violent handling of Seattle's receivers Malcom Butler wouldn't have become a folk hero.

You'r confusing physical limitations to a guy that doesn't care and doesn't want to do his job.

Brown had to man handle receivers and hope he didn't get called. He couldn't cover anyone otherwise. Helped us to a title.

That's where we disagree. Marsh was just bad at setting the edge. Browner similarly only had one skill set. In one case we asked Browner to do what he was good at. In another case we asked Marsh to do more than what he was good at. One guy succeeded, one didn't

Not everyone changes like that. Asking a dude whose never had to set the edge or cover running backs like Hunt to all of a sudden do that is a huge ask in the pros.

When a bunch of former Patriots retire with Super Bowl rings that tie them to the organization forever, priceless memories, incredible fame, guaranteed endorsements, higher chances of landing NFL coaching or broadcasting jobs, etc., I don’t think they’ll whining about the lack of fun they had in practice.

I did actually.

No, you didn't. You didn't at all. Let me made some slight modifications to something you posted earlier, to help you see it.

"Some players in the league just want to play the way they play and collect a check. That's okay. This isn't the place for that."

Some players in the league just want to publicly protest at a moment the fans find inappropriate, and still collect a check that is covered largely by fan and consumer interest. That's okay, but the NFL isn't the place for that.
