Switched over to Google from Excel to make it as easy as possible to store Patriot-Type info. This is much easier. I'm going to keep adding to it including draft, picks/positions, game tape & more. Anything you think I should add please let me know.

I'll be getting ore in depth, updating etc kinda tired now. Just gona shoot out some guys I have been watching for a while now.

One of the more interesting situations in the country is the QB situation in Buffalo. Yes Buffalo. I've been following these 2 for about 2 years now. You have 2 big, prototype, strong armed QB's in Drew Anderson & Tyree Jackson (Just added along w/ others to jesse's database)

Jackson is something else. From Michigan. He can move & is elusive at or around 6'6. Looks like a bigger Kaep when he gets moving. Eats up yards & has what looks like 4.75 speed. Huge arm w/ some excellent placement on some bombs. Mechanics & release needs work but looks very fixable.
Looks like he might moving a little too fast out there at times & everything kinda gets away from him, making his movements look shaky & a tick slower. When he tightens his strides & upper half up he could be something fierce in the pocket.

Suffered a season ending knee injury last year

Drew Anderson is your classic big arm pocket passer. Again both these guy have real arms that can hit 60+ & you'll see for yourself each can drop it in the bucket from a far distance. One thing everyone looks for is the far hash throw & each can make that pass pretty easy. Anderson as a passer is probably a lil more advanced than Jackson. I've seen both a few times live & on tape & you can see Anderson adjust speed on his passes which tells me he make that dump it over a defender pass, back shoulder sideline.
If you adjust speed on some passes it only expands the territory you can target.

Both guys have experience running rpo. Have really live arms. Appear comfortable touching all 3 areas & are both athletes.

Anthony Johnson but Anderson at QB. Both are on the list

Daniel Jones. I really like Jones. Very smart, likeable, engaging guy that looks like a Wentz-type at times. I really hope he stays hidden but we know how that goes. Again I'll edit this later but he's really good. For rn just Check out his drops & movements.

  • Prototype size at 6'4-6'5/220
  • +Base, Mechanics. Everything starts w/ quick, soft feet. +footwork. Always moving, firing up & down putting himself in the best position possible. Crisp, tight movements.
  • Good arm that delivers a deep/inter/short pass w/ arching touch over defenders. Can hit all levels & 50+ rather easy. Has some zip.
  • Can throw on move. Mobile w/ better than average athleticism to eat up a few yards pr buy time in the pocket. 200+ rushing attempts over the last few years. Can work when things fall apart.
  • Went through progressions more than a few times & located a target under heat.
  • Seems to be in command from moving & placing players around to checking plays & taking it upon him to make a play.

Nathan Stanley

Just check out 3:20, my goodness. Under center. Shot-gun. On the move. Arm strength & at times placement. He's def someone I'm watching closely.

The QB List I'm working off. Some of the guys are franchise types if they stay on track. Some are back ups that fit us. All are guys I think we look at. It'll change but for rn I think this is a great starting point.

Daniel Jones
Nathan Stanley
Tyree Jackson
Drew Anderson
Jarrett Stidham
Easton Stick
Clayton Thorson
Ryan Finley
Case Cookus
Will Grier
Kyle Kempt
Devlin Hodges

Ideal/Dream
Lock, Fitz

In the Convo
Khalil Tate (oh boy!)
Steven Montez
K.J. Costello

So far after looking at the draft I'll say this. It's pretty ****ing special.

I think it might be a special one.

You have a DL class that is legit 10-12 deep w/ possible starters. Its insane. I've been following Oliver since high school & he's just the tip. We could end up w/ a great player, great player.

Rush looks really good, top heavy rn. I've only looked into 10-12 guys so far but I absolutely love Zach Allen & think hes a perfect patriot DE if there ever was one. Rn I'd say he's right there w/ Landry in terms trajectory.

LB class is sick. Again only watched 8-10 guys but theres a few guys that could be special. Bush, Quarterman, White, Lamar will be top 5-6 guys that could really help a team.

WR class could be special. Harry, Metcalf, Brown, Edwards & Richards all look like 1st round players. Its a very deep group. LOTS of size

RB has power but also about 10 guys that can shake you. Deep class

TE interesting group. Lots of size. Its a big class of versatile guys. No clue about depth but you'll have 3-4 top 75 guys I think

OT looks very solid. Lots of big boys w/ throwback experience & feel.

The lottery will be the most intriguing in a while I think. You'll have Herbert, Lock, Fitz, maybe Jones & another player battling for QB1 but you have 5-7 DL/OL ready to start & make a big difference day one.

Please feel free to ask any questions, comments ..

Great, great job BGC. And with track record and all!
Thanks for making this process so much easier and more enjoyable!

I first looked if you have Drew Tranquill on your list and sure enough he is there;). I have him at special HYB position . since I think BB is still searching there (M.Flowers signed only through 2018).

Another nice HYB option I have listed is Missi St. safety Mark McLaurin. Honor student, business major, mid name Lamar and intercepted Lamar 3 times;)
____

btw - do you have guys listed in any particular order there?

No but I will.

At first I thought about not ranking the players but it doesn't make any sense not to. I'm just gona hold off for a few weeks until I have a better handle on them.

Right now I'm just trying to get an organized as possible bc w/ work, life etc it gets away from me & never really am satisfied w/what I've done. So now I'm starting as fresh as I ever have been.
Locate as many PTP as I can. Break em down by background, strengths etc & try to widdle that down to 75-150 players for next fall.

Encouraged by the players we've selected last few years. Rivers, Garcia, Wise, Wynn, Michel, Dawson, Crossen were all guys that were either on my list this year or players I thought fit us to a T before.

I'm gona add draft pick allocation, history etc so if theres anything else anyone thinks I should add please tell me.

Added a bunch of tape on Stick & Jones

Jones looks very good from a mechanics pov. Both base & upper. Tight, crisp, looks the same pretty much every snap. You can tell he's a guy who likes to work from watching him, again looks like a pro in the pocket from a size, mechanics/fundamentals standpoint. Good footwork. Has the velocity to zip it through defenders. Seen him hold LB's on rpo's & w/ his eyes before dumping it over them down the seem.

Exhausted & will add to this & Stick later but both are somewhat streaky & consistency is the key this year.

Will "The Trill" Grier.
