They probably would have hit him with DoG for that too

If it was me in goal, I'd probably be broken after that goal for the game. Coach would do well to take me out. Emotions too high.

I'd have bounced the net and taken my chances

Zebras tilting the ice in both obvious and subtle ways in this one. Tampa getting away with murder

Gonna need a big 3rd period. If we can somehow score that 4th goal early in the 3rd.

Definitely some home cooking so far.

Honestly i'm not mad about the skate not being called. There doesn't seem to be a rule for it and it's just one of those odd things.

I hate that they took a goal off the board for the Bruins in one case and then let a fairly obvious interference and tripping penalty go TB. Clear the calls and luck has not gone Boston's way. If they win this game though they will be scary to face the rest of the series.

While I don't believe often in series momentum particularly in hockey i do believe in attitude and effort. I think after this game they will feel it is them against the world and be pissed off. That bodes well for their future in this series.

Primetime played low level minor league hockey and I played collegiate, both of us as goalies as fate would have it. Our problem with it is much like Rask's, it is a safety issue and that is completely within the purview of the official. A goaltender isn't like any other player on the ice, he can't abandon his position and limp off. NBC has their collective heads up their asses ignoring that aspect of the play when quoting the rules.

Marchy!!!

I can understand if the team needed to gain possession. I was less angry about it once that was floated. Still not sure if that's the real explanation or just a theory though (I'm watching the HNiC feed).

Anyone that's never played net just can't appreciate how vulnerable a goaltender that can't move is. Officials however need to be mindful of that. It's not the goal that is ticking me off, it's the complete disregard for Rask's safety.

Bergie!!! That ought to do it

Keep piling on the goals to break Vasilevsky the rest of the series.

Need to play heads up here, there may be some headhunting now

certainly didn't expect this coming off a game 7 and a rested TB team...great Win!!

He's not facing the Devil's now.
It's kind of like, in beating the Devils, the Lightning ate an entire bag of marshmallows.

It tastes good but you don't get much nourishment or nutrition.

Great win!!!! Hope they can keep this up. Tampa will be pissed going into game 2

I like Tuukka but he should know the rules.

And apparently, they are that even if you're buck naked except you've still got your mask on, you gotta play on and do the best you can.

In the old days, they would have totally blown the whistle.
