Just some names still available on day 3 of the draft at potential positions of need.

Equanimeous St Brown
Ogbonnia Okoronkwo
I'll go with those two (as long as Barkevious Mingo is brought back).

QB Mike White, Western Kentucky
QB Kyle Lauletta, Richmond
LB Genard Avery, Memphis
LB Davin Bellamy, Georgia
CB Tony Brown, Alabama
CB Anthony Averett, Alabama
S Troy Apke, Penn State*
WR Braxton Berrios, Miami
WR Dylan Cantrell, Texas Tech
WR DaeSean Hamilton, Penn State

DT Tim Settle, VaTech
RB John Kelly, Tennessee
RB Kalen Ballage, Arizona State
DE Da'Shawn Hand, Alabama
LB Jack Cichy, Wisconsin
LB Mike McCray, Michigan

*special teams ace

Hercules Mata'Afa seems like an interesting prospect, just not sure what position he would play in the NFL. I'd use a late pick.

I like Bellamy - his edge setting, run D and lateral defending. Speed and versatility could be a Q.

Tony Brown (early binkie) certainly has upside and versatility but big Q if he can truly become a football player. Im not sure he improved much this year..

I thought he was cleared?

He's known about it since he started at Michigan. Same issue as Nick Fairley was diagnosed with, and Fairley missed all of last year with it and probably won't play again. I'd imagine he's off a number of boards but he's a big talent.

I was replying to the below statement of yours earlier.. but nevermind

You're pretty much agreeing with me. You don't want a situational player playing a significant percentage of snaps. That takes him away from what he does best and puts him into a situation where he has to something that he can't do consistently. The reason that would happen would be a rash of injuries at the position without adequate depth to cover our asses. Or, in other words, a situation like the one we saw in 2017. Hence the defense would be in trouble if said situational player has to up his snap count again.

Marquis Flowers playing significant snaps is a problem but it's also hard to imagine any day 3 guy, even someone like Genard Avery or Josh Sweat who I otherwise really like, pushing him for playing time as a rookie. At this point drafting for immediate need is a fool's errand.

I’ve heard a lot of comparisons with Teddy somewhere?!

Just came in here to say this. I would love to spend a flyer on this guy, throw him at ILB and give him some time to see what he can do.

Of course reshuffling pieces after injuries hurts you . but every team/position goes through that to some extent through the course of the season.

I do think however that solid “star“ player constitutes for “significant amount of snaps“ in BBs D.

If Dawson lives up to his promise of true slot CB beast that might change a bit.. Will be interesting to see.

I'm not of the opinion that any draft pick could at this point. That ship has sailed already unless they bring someone in off the scrap heap or by trade. At this point, they need to hope for good health for Hightower, KVN, and Rivers.

Lets not count out Langi as well. He could easily develop in KVN if the setback was not too big (physically and psychologically)
___

What could be seen as somewhat intriguing is that Flores as the DC heir apparent did not get any “presents“ yet unlike Josh (despited being chased as HC option elsewhere): he din't get the nomination yet and not a single LB. Coming to DC as LB coach it could also be a simple case of him liking his players way more than fans/media. I would expect some added depth though in Draft, UDFA and FA (Casillas). This is a very deep LB draft with very few top options and very similar ones in potential from Day 2 through UDFA..
