Draft Rumors

Watch bill take a center or an OL and everyone will go ape **** lol.

I’m in the minority here, but I don’t see a need for QB in this draft.
I agree not in the first or at 43 but at 63 or 95 it would make sense

Personally, I wouldn't take a qb in the 1st round. We have plenty of other needs...let's get more athletic on D, LB, CB, DE, get another LT. Take a qb in round 2 or 3. Just my two cents
100%

I wouldn’t want him no matter how good he is.
Due to the tweets? Idk. Some of them were a little sketchy, but they were from years ago. He’s had no real life incidents of issues with those things so I’m not sure if that should sink him. Most of it just sounded like an immature kid in High school.

But man, there’s definitely many athletes who put out careless tweets back in the early 2010’s are really wishing that they hadn’t.

I’m going with what his agent said that he’ll play for a while.

Yee's statement was nothing new. When Brady believes that he is no longer playing at a level that is acceptable to HIM, he will retire.

I’m sure he will. And since it’s unlikely he’s going to retire in a year, getting a QB this draft is not a necessity. Next year’s draft is a different story.

Smart money says sit tight and make 4 strong picks

Hmm, I don't think I'd put my money on that. I believe the last time the Belichick Patriots made their first four picks without a trade was...never?

IMO the smartest money is on some kind of trade down to pick up a selection in the middle round gap.

If you are a QB and you made racist tweets just a few years ago, you have already lost a good portion of your fanbase and the locker-room (before even getting drafted). What player is going to want to go to war with you?

Well all these crappy franchises have their picks on QBs. I am trying to see which franchises will not go QBs next season but it seems like teams always draft QBs in the top 15

Maybe he falls to 23 lol. What's your take on Josh Allen?

My final mock fwiw. Obviously the trades are plucked out of thin air. This is just to kill time.

23. Rashaan Evans

Trade 31 to Broncos for 40, 109

40. Ronnie Harrison

Reid goes 28 to Steelers and we’ve had 3 separate contacts with Harrison.

43. Josh Sweat Or Rasheem Green

Trade 63 to Miami for 73, 123. Dolphins come up for Lauletta.

73 DaeSean Hamilton

Quality character and future Jordan Matthews replacement

95 Luke Falk

Quality long term backup at least.

109 Brandon Parker, LT, N Carolina A&T

Athletic well built long-armed LT.

123 Kalen Ballage

Loads of upside. Poor mans David Johnson.

198 Tremon Smith

Very athletic corner who gets his hands on the ball

210 Jullian Taylor, DT, Temple

Athletic and long armed interior D lineman. Needs work but lots to like.

219 Skai Moore

Previously highly thought of linebacker from an SEC school that met with B.B. personally. Sounds just like a Pats 7th round pick.

I’m banking on a trade down from 31 tonight. I think we’ll probably pick at 23 but it’s BB so who knows.

If we manage to come away with Vander Esch and Evans in the 1st, and Falk/Lauletta, I will have a raging "Bradley Chubb" all offseason long

Mayock has us taking an OT AND an IOL.

Belichick may believe that a guard is the BVA (best value available), after factoring in need as part of the value to the team. He may believe that the OT's available are much less drafting, as well as the LB's. There is some top talent at C and OG available in the last half of the 1st. As always, we can take leftovers, or get the player we want. If there are seven available at 31, we can trade down.

If he trades 31 i hope he gets a second rounder in return to go with another pick.

I hope we get another pass rusher and i would be happy with a guy like rasheem green.

So you don't think he can an elite QB at the NFL level? I don't think he's ready but what if he sat for 2 years or 3

I’m not an expert but out of the four big QBs in this draft he’s least likely to succeed.

He’ll obviously trade down into the 2nd round and the compensation will depend on how far done. I hope he picks up a 4th and 5th at least.
