It is generous to give them 8 titles as 4 of them were as part of a league that no longer exists.

We will just disagree on this matter. I’m not sold that he’s going to be 100% committed to football for a long period of time. To me that’s a football related issue.

Yes, short quarterbacks can indeed succeed. That doesn't mean that they aren't significant risks as top 10 draftees.

I agree. I'm not a huge Jarvis Landry fan but I think he'll work well with Josh Gordon across from them, and I think Corey Coleman still has potential. Carlos Hyde and EJ Gaines were underrated pickups. Tyrod Taylor is a passable bridge starter. They have a really good defensive line shaping up. I think you're right. They could use a starting corner across from EJ Gaines, another linebacker, another rotational defensive end, and some offensive linemen (the only plus starter they have after Thomas retired is Bitonio) but I think they have a shot at being an 8-8, 9-7 team this season and even sneaking into the wild card.

Schefter has been getting played a lot by NFL teams recently. He was the one who said Tom Brady hadn’t committed to the 2018 season.

I'd take Mayfield over Allen or Darnold too. I think Rosen's a better passer but I think Mayfield's a good choice if youre going to give him a redshirt year to get accustomed to the NFL. I don't think he's ready because he's coming from that spread and isn't used to being under center or throwing into tight windows, but the Browns don't plan to force him into action anyways. I think the offensive players they would have around him are the right guys for Mayfield's skillset.

Don’t get me wrong, I think Cleveland WILL be a better team, especially with all the picks they have. However, their ownership, coaching and the city of Cleveland itself leaves a lot to be desired. I would think Mayfield would be happier in New York or Denver.

If I am comparing top QB's, I believe that some of the physical attributes matter.

A year or two of patriot coaching coaching, along with playing with our team, could make any of the 4 a top quarterback. However, 2 years won't make Mayfield taller or his hands bigger.

Two examples of QB's under 6'1" that have been extremely successful are of course Russell Wilson and Drew Brees. Besides both having extremely good football intelligence, what do both have in common? Extraordinary athleticism.

With Russell Wilson all you need to do is what him play for a few minutes to appreciate his athletic gifts, plus he could probably be a professional baseball player if he wasn't playing football.

With Drew Brees, he isn't thought of as an amazing athlete because he is short and white, but at 12 he was the top-ranked tennis player in Texas and defeated Andy Roddick three times as a junior, and the same year he set an Austin city record with 14 Little League home runs and was chosen to play on a youth soccer select team.

In contrast, Baker Mayfield has no such amazing athletic background and was a walk-on at Texas Tech. It is extremely impressive that he has pulled himself up by his bootstraps and achieved the success that he has, but that doesn't change the fact that he is not in the same galaxy athletically as other shorter successful quarterback like Wilson and Brees.
