How Focused is Gronk?

I've read many books from Auerbach, Russel and Celts of that time. Story goes, Russell was loafing at practice - thought it was a waste of time. Auerbach thought he'd light a flame under him and started needling him. Finally, Russ got the idea and accelerated his game at practice. Suddenly, every shot was blocked, every rebound was grabbed, every offensive play resulted in a dunk - by Russell.

Auerbach finally surrendered and nevermore was Russel's pace at practice questioned.

While at Gillette (and yes, I understand why he was there) he actually said that he was skipping future voluntary training stuff so he could work on his dirt-biking skills???

Now I realize that of course that's not really why he's skipping stuff, but to joke about it like that, while at the stadium, is really poking the bear. Wow.

I was thinking the same.

Despite sounding to have a clue with his finances, I don't credit Gronk as the brightest bulb. Voluntary means voluntary, and maybe this was all in low IQ fun, but his goofy butt had better be physically ready for the mandatory team activities.

He can choose to do whatever Guerrero prescribes in his time, but it better make him better able to play on the field or all hell will break loose.

You are a f###### idiot. Your comment when placed in context with mine might as well have been citing the number of tons of tungsten pulled out of Yugoslavian mines in 1949.

Sometimes it's best to either stop talking or to only talk long enough to say 'yeah OK I didn't know that.'

This was one of those times.

Checking in during this offseason...

rw, Gronk pushed it today. His comments were directly insulting, in my opinion, to Belichick's authority. I think irreparable harm was done today. Whether it's BB who's gone or it's Gronk who's gone, today was seriously damaging.
We'll find out how serious.

I say it's 50/50 hes traded anyway because of his contract but only for a mid 1st rounder

OK, but what would you have quoted for odds before today that he'd be traded?

so watch out, Fnordstroms...I'll be watching you...

Some chance Gronks days in new england are getting closer and closer to the end

Calling it right now...Draft day trade and he is gone. Best guess? 2nd rounder because of his medical and the uncertainty around how many years he plays.

It's Gronk it's a first for sure if he is traded.

This is somewhat similar to someone asking Terry Glenn when his hamstring was going to heal and he'd be back on the field and his comment was when he got paid.
Then boom traded to the Packers.
