2018 mocks

Pick 23 - Rashaan Evans LB Alabama

Pick 31 - Lamar Jackson QB Louisville

Pick 43 - Hayden Hurst TE South Carolina

Pick 63 - P.J. Hall DL Sam Houston State

Pick 95 - Fred Warner LB BYU

RD 6 - Justin Jackson RB Northwestern

RD 6 - Joe Ostman EDGE Central Michigan

RD 7 - Russell Gage LSU WR

Just found my favourite mock yet -

R1 23 - Harold Landry DE/OLB

R1 31 - Derrius Guice RB

R2 43 - Mason Rudolph QB

Rd 2 63 - Tyrell Crosby OT

Rd 3 95 - Malik Jefferson ILB/OLB/WLB

The only thing i don't like about this mock is Guice, that's only because of how we use our RB's and we rarely use a feature back, think the last one was Corey Dillion at the start of a roster. (Lewis not included as not many would of said he was our 3 down back)

Why is that your favorite mock? Landry is shyte vs the run; using #31 on a RB is a waste; and Crosby is Not an NFL LT.

I like the idea of pursuing Rudolph. However I am afraid he will be off the board with pick 43. If BB decides to grab him,he should do that with 31st. Guice wouldn't be my pick at all. I do not mean he is a bad RB,but his character is a concern and we have more important holes to fill than RB position.

I'm afraid Rudolph will come into the league and be lost like most OK State qb's. I just wouldn't risk it.

The only one who comes to mind is Weeden. Any other particular examples in contemporary picks?

Landry is not Shyte against the run.. he's average and can improve by having the correct coaching. His upside is huge.

I said that a RB at 31 is a waste for us if you read it.

Crosby Could be with Dante still there...

What this I read about him being a slow start up off the line?
I'd rather have a guy that is faster off the line even if he can't run a 40 as fast.
That first step off the line is critical.
Correct me if this is wrong about Landry.

I must admit, Big 12 QBs scare me a little. They don’t know what it means to play a defense.

Stephen Gilmore is a fan hes a defensiveback so I'm curious to know how well he study's QBs.
However it's worth noting this since he's our highest paid defensive player and by all accords a smart guy football as well as book smart.
I'd love to see a defensive back like Deiom Sanders or Ty Law go thru extensive tape and give the strengths and weaknesses of each QB.

Did a first pick mock where my plan was to trade up for B. Mayfield. As I'm following I'm seeing QB needy teams Buffalo and Arizona trading out of their picks and Mayfield dropping. Ended up getting him at 23. My big concerns were LB, LT, and Edge rusher. Was able to get all 3. Traded 31 to the Browns for their 2nd, 4th, and 5th

Round 1 Pick 23: Mayfield, Baker, QB, Oklahoma (A)
Round 2 Pick 1 (CLE): Carter, Lorenzo, OLB, Georgia (A-)
Round 2 Pick 11: Oliver, Isaiah, CB, Colorado (B+)
Round 2 Pick 31: Reid, Justin, FS, Stanford (A)
Round 3 Pick 31: Brown, Orlando, OT, Oklahoma (A)
Round 4 Pick 14 (CLE): Leonard, Darius, OLB/ILB, South Carolina State (A)
Round 5 Pick 13 (CLE): Fatukasi, Folorunso, DT, Connecticut (A+)
Round 6 Pick 24: Smith, Ito, RB, Southern Miss (A+)
Round 6 Pick 31: Coutee, Keke, WR, Texas Tech (A+)
Round 6 Pick 36: Jackson, JC, CB, Maryland (A+)

Can we cash this in?

Did a mock on fanspeak. This site doesn't allow trades and has a number of big boards to choose from. Some guys who on one board would be a 2nd rounder could be a 6th rounder on another board. I ended up with F. Ragnow in the 6th. Targeted LB, LT, QB, and DE.

This is also one of my favorite mocks I've seen ok here no way Rudolph lasts that long though.

I agree, I don't think he lasts to the end of the 2nd either. I struggle with picking him in the 1st though.

I think with 23 we got to go with R. Evans or L. Vander Esch if one of them is there. We NEED to upgrade LB. Either one of those guys are 3 down backers with talent and can run. I'd also love an Edge rusher but it isn't as big a need as a 3 down LB.

So at 31 what do we do? Rudolph could be the pick. He may not last past Denver who picks before us in round 2. Or do we go LT here? I see on some mocks Orlando Brown slipping into the late 2nd and even the 3rd round. He's huge but not athletic. Maybe some here who follow college better then me can talk about whether he can make the jump to a good NFL LT. If we get Rudolph at 31 and Brown with one of our 2nds we cross off a few big needs.

I love Baker Mayfields story. He has the same type of fire in him that Brady had/has. If he gets past Buffalo at 12 I don't think he gets past Arizona at 15. If he's still there do we send a package to GB at 14 to get him? Would number 23 and 43 get us to 14? If so I think we make the trade. Then we either go LB or LT at 31, although I think Evans and Vander Esch are both gone by 31. Pittsburgh will scope one of them up.

After saying all this Bill probably trades back a few times and gets a safety and a RB!

Landry probably has the quickest step in this draft. Go watch some tape against him

From fanspeak. Probably my favorite mock i've done. to get Ridley in the 3rd would be a miracle.

Calvin Ridley at 95 lol. Did the rest of the NFL forget he exists ?

Ridley is very small. Teams have to account for the fact that he is going to get hurt and miss quite a few games.
