2018 mocks

Mock 2.0

31 - Connor Williams, OT, Texas

It’s maybe wishful thinking that he’s available at 31. I’ve seen some mocks where he’s available at 31 and some where he’s taken in the 15-20s. So who knows, but I think he has the makings of a plug and play OT who, if the worse comes to the worst could be a top quality LG. But I think he can give us quality snaps at LT this year.

43 - Alonzo Carter, LB, Georgia

This defense needs some athleticism in the front 6/7 and Carter has that in spades. B.B. hasn’t shied away from elite athletes in the past (see Collins, Jamie) and I see Carter in a similar light.

63 - Kyle Lauletta, QB, Richmond

Doesn’t need much explanation. As things stand OT, LB and developmental QB are the top three needs as far as I’m confirmed (I can see the arguments against QB though).

95 - Isaac Yiadom, CB, Boston College

I have CB as the fourth need but could accept switching it with developmental QB. Yiadom can play press and is a good tackler, a must for a Patriots DB. I don’t know if he’ll have the Patriots’ preferred athleticism but he’s a special teams cover specialist, no small thing when picking at this point in the draft. Nice length too at 6’ with 32” arms.

136 - Jeremy Reaves, S, South Alabama

Gutted that I couldn’t have Justin Reid in this mock but whilst Reaves isn’t necessarily the same guy, he does offer a similar versatility to Reid in the defensive backfield. He’s played CB and safety and could, in theory, be backup at every position at CB and safety. And he hits like a freight train. A definite binky of mine.

Rnd 6 (from Raiders) - Genard Avery, LB, Memphis

He’s very athletic for a 250lb linebacker. He’s not a finished product by any means - he has some play anticipation issues), but his size/athleticism combo is a heady mix. Another binky.

219 - Joe Ostman, DE/OLB, CMU

Undersized at 6’2” and 250 But has average to good athleticism (34.” Vert, 7.09 3-cone). But he has been very productive based largely on effort and hand usage. Nink isn’t a bad comp.

No TE?

we need to come away with at least one front LB who can cover....love the value tho

I love Evans game, but realistically, how does he make it past Pittsburgh?

I love vea’s gsme, but realistically, how does he make it past Miami?

Someone good is going to drop to us at 31 because so many qb’s will go in the first round, but realistically, how does bb not trade #31?
I'm all for that, give me a 2, 3, 4, and 7

My somewhat realistically possible Mock.

RD.1 Pick 31 : Kolten Miller OT, UCLA

RD.2 Pick 43. Arden Key OLB, LSU

RD.2 Pick 63. Lorenzo Carter OLB/DE Georgia

RD.3 Kyle Lauletta QB, Richmond

RD.4 Josh Sweats DE Florida

RD.5 DB, Levi Wallace Alabama

Are you planning to play Carter as an off the ball linebacker because three undersize (by Pats standards) pass rushers seems a tad extreme?

I got an A+ on first pick........this is a dream

I leveraged both the 1/31 and 2/11 into a boatload of picks (apparently the mock was targeting players for other teams)....the Giants gave up a ton for RB Derrius Guice and the Colts gave up a ton for Mike Hughes....from there I had the leverage of consecutive picks in a bunch of places

Excellent mock! I like the trades.

When it comes to 31, I see three teams as ideal trade partners, the giants, colts and the browns.

The going rate for trading down from the bottom of round 1 to the top of round 2 is an early 4 (that happened twice last year; 29 = 33 + 108; 31 = 34 + 111).

So which is worth more to BB: a fifth year from the first-rounder, or an extra bite at the apple near the start of day three, who isn't likely to see much PT?

I guess it all depends on who is on the board at 31.

But I can easily see bb having no hesitation about trading back a few spots and picking up another 4th.

The grades are going to be so compact from 20 to 50 that it won’t bother bb, he rarely locks on to a certain player, which is why we never figure him out. But for a team in love with someone available at 31, it is a small price to pay.

Few rookie mistakes. Forgot Denzel Ward, was debating on him w/ another player & just lost track. Forgot N Chubb & a Miami 2nd rd pick but **** happens.

Here's a 3 round & 1 round mock from Mike & I.

I managed a draft where I ended up with basically every player I like! Of course, fitting all these guys on the roster is going to be... difficult.

Dream draft but incredibly unrealistic. So many of these guys will be gone by the time we pick in your scenario. Secondly, you need to think outside of the box. Pick a 7th round prospect and slot him in the 2nd round. Any player WE want will not be picked, expect a lot of “who’s that ?” It’s just the way a Belichick draft runs.

struck gold this morning

Trades: the Browns gave the 1st, 3rd, and 32nd picks in the 2nd round for 1/31 and 2/11....there was a ton on the board, could not say no.....they took Mike Hughes

The Raiders gave 2/9 and 3/11 for 2/3 ..... still a ton on the board I was going TE next anyway, and thought Goedert and/or Gisecki would still be there at 9.....

The Texans gave 3/4, 3/34, and 4/3 for 2/32 and 3/31

and there you have it
