What is it with the medias obsession with OBJ and the patriots? Whether its trading Gronk or packaging draft picks, sports media is all over this and has been for about 10 days.

Are they making the news or reporting it? When has BB ever splurged and opend the war chest to capture a WR. A WR that admittedly is very good but is on his final year of contract and is expecting QB money the season after.
Any sports media "personality" exploring this possibility is not longer worth listening to. Have they paid attention to BB tactics over the last 20 odd years.
The realistic ( well more realistic) situation of BB spending is moving up to get a QB and the only one that makes my needle flicker is Baker mayfield.
I could take a Gronk trade to the Giants to move up as I think he has one eye on the next Expendables movie.

The Pats got back a 4th. It really was only a drop of 15 spots from the Pats' 3rd rounder. The Giants want two firsts. Way too much for any WR especially one who is looking to be set the market in salary.

For all the same reasons that the Cooks trade was good, ( getting the #23 pick for a WR heading into the final year of his rookie deal, saving 8.5 million on the cap, without a penny in dead money), trading for Beckham would be an awful move.

I would actually do a 1st round pick (say our #23) and keep him for only a year...franchise him....then trade him for say a 2nd next year.... doubt the Giants would do that though....
