Can someone tell me what the Patriots are doing? Now Cooks is gone?

No. I'm looking at if any players can make an impact and NONE of them can. Sherman definitely would have made an impact on these trash pass runners, which by the way were completely exposed in the SB. The WR core is weak. All it takes for one more injury to Edelman who almost never stays healthy, and that's it. They're out looking for a WR again. Awful trade.

And relying on Malcolm Mitchell? WHAT? Since when the hell can this guy show he can ever stay healthy? His knees have been shot for years already. He will NEVER be healthy.

Do you watch the games and look up player backgrounds, or is your area of proficiency Madden NFL personnel management?

By Sherman I assume you mean Richard Sherman, the 30 year old with not one but two Achilles injuries who has not finished the past two seasons healthy and may earn $9 million this year and $17 million next year if he can still play. If he falls apart, and cannot stay on the field, then he is only a $7 million hit, or the 5th highest cap number currently on the Pats. You do realize there is a salary cap, right?

He ain't the Legion of Boom no more, and he may not be able to stay on the field at all. Not exactly putting fear into receivers these days, and his gimpy version wasn't going to do squat last year because he was in the training room rather than on the playing field. He may no longer be high price talent. Just high priced.

As for the WRs, given your extensive NFL personnel experience, tell me about the WR corps for the Pats in 2014 and 2016. Which of those WRs were on your All Madden WR roster? How did they possibly win the title without a cast of stellar individual players that fail to meet your standard of excellence? And why aren't you a GM or Head Coach in the NFL yet? You appear to have the goods to make it in the NFL.

Maybe do some reading on the traits of the individuals added and consider the fact effective defensive schemes require 11 players working together (here's a hint: Bruschi was not a world-beating LB in terms of ability, but he was perfect for the Pats - how is that possible?). Then you can offer an informed rant rather than your personal take on players you appear to know little to nothing about.

go buy some rams gear fella. You don't seem to understand how team building for long term success works, and the rams ship is RIPE for new fans.
Yep, they are clearly winning the offseason this year. We've seen what that has done for teams like the Dolphins in the past

I really don’t see why all the tears are being shed over Cooks. He basically just ran three routes in this offense, is soft, and the team got another first round pick for him in a draft where a good amount of top tier talent may fall due to an early run on QBs.

Belichick is mailing it in, obviously. Not like all the other years where they always made sure to spend big to keep their key FAs and never made any surprise trades.

Okay bro, if and when Edelman gets injured again because he almost never stays healthy you'll realize the stupidity of what NE has done even with their WRs. Can't believe they let Danny Playoff Amendola go. Disgusting.

AJ beat me to it. The irony of crying that Edelman won't stay healthy, and in the next breath proclaim what a horrible mistake it was to let Amendola go....

I've asked you before, and I still wonder: why are you a fan? What enjoyment do you find in constantly *****ing about how awful things are? It's one thing to question a decision, we all do. But you truly have never said anything positive. What's the point then?

Let's see...we just lost a major good WR. We lost critical players in our offensive line. We lost defensive players.

Seriously....wtf is this team doing? They're doing nothing all off season besides losing key players, and failing to obtain any above average players. They let Butler go and now they have another hole in the defense. They don't bother to go after Sherman. They don't bother to go after Jordy Nelson. They're not bothering to go after anyone.

Well I guess BB is content for another 2009 season. Remember that season?

Serious question:

Solder is an above average LT, but he's not close to being the best in the game. Did you want the team to give him the highest paying contract for an LT in the entire NFL?

If I told you what they're doing, BB would bench me for the next game and not re-sign me.

I thought the Patriots' Consumer Hotline was 508-GFY-DUDE?

Ever responsive to it's growing legion of detractors over the past 18 years the team has now created an 800 # for those outside the 508: (800)EAT-SH!T

Callers are advised to be patient, calls won't be answered any sooner than at least 5 rings

They're not done yet.

Who cares what they’re doing....it’s sheer genius

Tell me about it. We have no chance to win this Sunday.

One thing they're doing is trying to get bigger in some areas. Patterson is big for a WR - 6'2", 220. Hill is big for a back - 235 lbs. or so. Britt is 6'3" 215. Shelton is 335 lbs.

I can tell you they aren’t trading for Odell.

answer: Every move is done in the best interest of the football team, like always
