That would be consistent with past performance.Or do we cash them in for a boatload of 2s and 3s?
Left Tackle - Linebacker
Another possibility is if the Patriots feel strongly about the middle rounds, they could swing one of the four picks to move back in the draft and pick up a couple more mid-rounders. It all depends on how Belichick views the board.
Could be Connor Williams, Kolton Miller, LVE, or Carter available with the first pick. All of whom would fill positions of need.
I am not in love with the tackle class this year. We will see what he does.
Okay. I'll ask the question that rarely even seems to cross the minds of most fans ...
How likely is it that [insert name of binky prospect here], who may only be obtained by packaging x number of picks to trade up, will provide more value to team than the two or more prospects who might be acquired if the trade isn't made?
Pats rarely trade up very far. And I don't see them giving up both of their 1sts to move up. If they can trade #23 plus a mid round pick to move up for a guy they covet, I could see that though.
Every year there are few real studs in the draft. Who would be a stud for us might vary because of need. However, getting one of the real studs should be worth more than the combined expected value from the 23rd and 31st pick. To be clear, how much would we trade for someone who projects to be the next McGinist, the next Seymour, or even the next McCourty?
So what would the Pat's roster look like after this draft?like this:

So what would the Pat's roster look like after this draft?
Drafting a franchise quarterback before shoring up left tackle is putting
the cart before the horse.
Final 53Which roster? The 90-man or the final 53?
I could see them trading a few picks into next year when more roster slots might be openBecause of an influx of players returning from injury, the Patriots already have
a well stocked roster. For this reason, I can't see them trading down much to obtain extra picks. Instead, they may trade up to obtain a couple or three key players at
quarterback, left tackle, and linebacker.
Final 53
