You've been *****ing about him for years. That's fine. Just limit the number of freakin' threads where you're doing it.
What? No that was Tavon Wilson.

In about 20 Min, we're going to see a whole lot of announcements about unexpected cuts/redone contracts..
Good post.
Not too much on possible trades and that could last until the Draft. A guy like Mychal Kendricks might be traded for a pick. Perhaps if we are bold to think, Clowney.

Jones getting hurt late in the Titans game has gone so far under the radar. He was actually pretty solid playing the slot, just wonder if he didn't get injured and was available for the SB if it makes just enough difference

I think it would have made a world of difference because he would have been on Agholor and would have allowed Gilmor to stay on Jeffery with Howe on Smith or Ertz..

I said to my friend Sherman when he said something similar.. I think I know a place..

Snagging the most amount of money you can get as a DB is usually gonn put you on a team that doesn’t have a culture of winning. These guys all say the right things, then they take the money and go to a place hoping to contend. I don’t mind, just speak the truth. Here’s his options based on what he said.

Ravens: Great history of defense making the team. Pretty consistent as far as being competitive. Not looking good in the future.

Seahawks:Recent tradition of winning. Defense matters, but it’s being gutted.

49ers:Tradition of winning....years ago! Definitely making moves to improve, but not a definitive contender.

Steelersefense matters. Culture of winning.

Patriots:Annual top 10 D even though talent is typically so-so. Coaches are the best schemers/historians in the game. In contention for a super bowl every damn year.

Raiders:On the brink. Defense matters but doesn’t have a history of being great. Exciting new/old coach.

Texans:Exciting young QB. Typically solid defense. Annual contenders for 8-8.

I’m sure there are a few more out there, I’m getting tired of thinking about it. Point I’m trying to make, is the Patriots would be the best destination for what he says he wants. Can’t wait to see who he actually signs with.

I actually could see him signing with Oakland. Seems like it would be a good fit. Honestly don’t know why, but I can just see it happening. If he goes to a team like the Ravens though....

Just like GBs new secret weapon..

But there is value in that - Aaron Hernandez was viewed the same way. I'm sure the Patriots could find a good way to use him if they deem him a fit. But he wouldn't be a backup or replacement for Gronk, just like Hernandez wasn't.

IMHO, we start free agency needing 2 LT's and a corner. Otherwise, IMHO, we are at least as good as last year (before 2018 injuries).
=========
The rest is just normal in and out. Lots of free agents will be signed before the season starts; we'll have trades; and we'll sign draftees and UDFA's. Lots of positions are upgradable, but that is always the case. See some notes below.

OFFENSE
Obviously all focus is on LT.
Edelman and Mitchell are back. Britt and Dorsett might help, or not.
Gillislie will likely get a chance after being #4 last year.
White is one of the very best 3rd down backs in the league.
We'll add a RB or two, hopefully including Burkhead.
A corp of Gronk, Allan, Tye, and Hollister is quite reasonable at TE.
We're solid at center, guard and RT.

DEFENSE
DL: We add Shelton and Valentine.
LB: We add Hightower and Rivers. (and McClellan and Langi)
DB: We need to add a corner and perhaps a #4 safety (one who is a top Ster).

SPECIAL TEAMS
We've re-signed Ebner and King.
Slater, Marquis Flowers and Bademosi are question marks.
We need a punt returner or backup, unless we are counting on Edelman.

Teddy Bridgewater to sign with Jets for 1 year $15 million

Ah, we've finally come full circle. I remember when "is X the replacement for Hernandez?" was nearly on the level of "can he rush the passer?"

Not going to be one of the negatives who pile on, but I fail to see how we’re “at least as good as last year,” and the insinuation that we may even be better is silly.

Also, add the top KR to your list since Lewis is gone. We’ll need to address both returners. Most importantly, it seems like the organization needs to smooth some things out with its two biggest leaders, or else one of them may not even choose to play. One would think that could have been done in the past 5-6 weeks unless they can’t reach a middle ground.

We are really killing it in free agency so far; lost our starting CB, RB, and LT, plus our top slot WR.

Yes we have lost a LT so far.
