Nah, I literally brought a 25 foot trailer loaded with 19k lbs of solar panels to some ahmish people here. It’s a nice place all in all. The people are nimrods but that’s true almost everywhere you go.... especially wearing pats gear

so, I’m broke down in Denver, my trucks at the dealership and I’m in a rental Jeep. I go into two stores yesterday. The first one, a guy tells me. “Your a real jerk for wearing a hat like that” but then he grins and it’s all cool. A little talk about hate. They absolutely loathe the pats. I told him we save that kind of hate for the Steelers and Jets.

2 nd store, the lady at the gas station says “ I’m not serving you till you take off that damned hat” I thought she was joking but she was dead serious. So, I say I guess you don’t want me to pay for gas? Cool, see ya losers. She took the money and I told her I’m making a lot of new freinds here lol.

I live in Denver now. 99% of the conversations I have go as follows “I hate Tom Brady, but I have to admit he’s the greatest to ever do it, I still don’t like it”.

The thing you have realize is that Denver isn’t like an East Coast sports city so for most of the population they aren’t as diehard as Pats fans are.

The biggest culprits honestly are the media personalities who know they are playing to not so savvy sports base so they can say anything they want to stir the pot.

The big thing is the Nuggets don’t matter without Mellow, the Rockies were good for like a spell a decade ago, the Aves are whatever. Elway and the Broncos is that entire town’s sports legacy. Peyton kind of revved it back up, but they know it’s not as serious to them.

I went to the game at mile high last season and just strutted around talking trash to anyone who would put up with it. I wouldn’t do that in New York, Philly, Pittsburgh or Baltimore.

Interesting that. Never had anything more than banter happen as a result of wearing Pats gear on a few trips to that neck of the woods. Trips to Western PA have gone...differently. I'm a gearhead. I bought a classic car that I had to pickup in Homestead PA which is just outside of Pittsburgh. Between my Pats hat, t shirts and truck with a full width Pats decal across the rear window that was an 'interesting' trip.

This is off topic, but as a wannabe gearhead I'm curious. What kind of classic car?

A '68 442 ragtop. My son and I restored it and it is his summer toy. On the way back we checked out a never winter driven V8 SHO, one of my bucket list cars, in South Williamsport (home of the Little League WS) and bought it on the spot. I flew back 2 weeks later and drove that one home. It's one of my summer toys. Since 2 wheels = 2 beers one can not limit oneself to just motorcycles as summer toys.

Enjoy your stay here. We skipped winter so the drive home should be an easy one. Donks fans have been getting worse every season I've been here. Almost east coast bad now but not quite there yet. I've been to most if not all Pats games here since the infamous Monday night intentional safety game.

Thanks bro, I am really enjoying it. Went to winter park for a day. Going to go look at Colorado Springs and look at sac norad. Spent one night it limon and one in Sunnyvale.
Tried out a bit of stuff from the dispensary just to see what it’s like. I’ve got a lot of pics of mountains. I was thinking about skiing but I’m too much of a drunk and would probably pull some kind of sonny bono. Lol
I can’t complain really, if I had my way, I’d live here reguardless of my run ins with rabbid pats haters

As strange as it may sound we had a great trip to the Linc in '11. Took some friendly smack but nothing like the over the top BS you might expect as a visiting fan there. Pittsburgh & Miami were among the worst visiting fan experiences we've had, we were within a hair's breadth of violence in Pitt and were verbally threatened with it in the SoFlo swamp lands. On the subject of strange, the best visiting fan experiences I've had have all been in Buffalo of all places.

I find Buffalo fans to be pretty cool overall.
