I used to have a Peter Patriot helmet magnet on the hood of my car along with two flying Elvii car flags. My car got keyed 2-3 times...and the helmet was ripped off the hood....all in MASSACHUSETTS.....go figure. And while visiting enemy territory...I don't bother with my Pats attire unless it is game day. Not worth the hassle...even if 95% of people are cool...

I actually would stop by and hang out. Getting yelled at about stuff like that is a normal occurrence with my buds. Lol

I used to at least appreciate Broncos fans' enthusiasm. They are the intellectual equals of Raiders fans.

After we were robbed of the world championship in '76, the following season the media went ga-ga over the Donkeys and new coach Red Miller (from the Pats, of course). I mean they were okay, but they weren't the best team. 1977 was the season the Raiders "should" have won their first title, if you believe it was inevitable.

Anyway, the media did NOT go "ga-ga" over us in '76. It was more like, "...and oh by the way before we sign off the surprising Patriots appear to have a chance at the playoffs--good night!!" Nothing about this **** this century is "new".

My worst out of state experience was in FL. Wearing my Pats hat & stuff. Really old geezer coming out of a shop says, "Big upset coming!"

so, I’m broke down in Denver, my trucks at the dealership and I’m in a rental Jeep. I go into two stores yesterday. The first one, a guy tells me. “Your a real jerk for wearing a hat like that” but then he grins and it’s all cool. A little talk about hate. They absolutely loathe the pats. I told him we save that kind of hate for the Steelers and Jets.

2 nd store, the lady at the gas station says “ I’m not serving you till you take off that damned hat” I thought she was joking but she was dead serious. So, I say I guess you don’t want me to pay for gas? Cool, see ya losers. She took the money and I told her I’m making a lot of new freinds here lol.
