That’s the one! That’ll be Sammy if Lewis is not resigned lol

AFCCG 34 yards rushing, 32 receiving

SB 39 yards rushing, 0 receiving

It would’ve been nice to keep PHI off the field.
It was absolutely criminally negligent of Bill & Skippy that the Cat was not on the field AT ALL for ANY of their ****ed-up 3rd-down plays during the first half.

I expected more production from the RBs in both of the AFCCG and SB. Shows you what I know.

Unfortunately concerns with his durability preclude the Pats coughing up much in the way of guaranteed money. Some team with cap space to burn is probably going to make him an offer he can't refuse.

I thought that it was odd all season that Lewis wasn't used more in the passing game. His targets per game played have actually declined during his Pats career, too:

2015 = 7.1 tgts/ game ... 72% catch rate .. 10.8 YPC (more than just dump-offs)
2016 = 3.4 tgts/game ... 71% catch rate .. 5.5 YPC
2017 = 2.2 tgts/game ... 91% catch rate .. 6.7 YPC

Meanwhile, in 2017 ...
- Burkhead saw 3.5 tgts/game-played (83% catch rate, 8.5 YPC).
- White had 5.1 tgts/game-played .. 78% catch rate ... 7.7 YPC.

(this is just regular season)

Actually, I think we're on to the draft at that position.

Maybe. IDK.

BB seems more interested in players who've already been in the NFL a couple years, but that may be too expensive this year, considering the cap space.

I have a theory that BB wanted to have the players he knew wouldn't be back the next season off the field and prove he can win without them.
No evidence just a theory.

Taking a peek at the free agency backs 2 peak my interest and would be cheap
Brandon Oliver
And Lance Dunbar

Not seeing much value in either one, even at veteran minimums.

Oliver's one good season (2014, as a rookie) was barely more than what Gillislee produced for the Pats in 9 games this season, and Gillislee's 2017 production is almost equal to Dunbar's entire 6-year career. For what amounts to about $1M more, I'd just keep Gillislee.

I think Oliver would be a good signing
