Aside from maybe a one year “Hoyer-like” situation in CLE where they also take a very high pick at QB to groom for a year, I don’t know who he’ll be starting for in 2018, but you’re right that he’ll want something in the 15m per year range and that we shouldn’t entertain the thought.

I honestly don’t think he’s anything special, anyway. What’s his claim to fame—backing up Andy Dalton and learning the Marvin Lewis system for 4 years? Being a mediocre 5th round pick?

Maybe I’m just judging him on how he looks in this picture, and while I really do admire his dedication to his religious beliefs, he still looks corny as hell, here. There’s absolutely nothing about him that makes you think “he’s the future of the franchise.”
