If you're going to bash Goodell and claim abuse of a rule it helps to have the guy's name right and the correct rule. It's Article 46.

Article 11 of the CBA were the transition rules used for 2011.

Thanks - I suck at multitasking and did not check my facts. The name, I blame on spellcheck and typing on a phone.

Wtf? What “rivalry” is Ballard referring to? Does meeting the Pats a couple times in the playoffs a few years ago and getting run the f*** over each time, and then not even making the playoffs after that, count as a rivalry? Or is it a rivalry of f***ing each other over? Indy made up Deflategate, Pats pull Josh out from under them. That’s the only “rivalry” I can see. So is Ballard saying that Indy is about to make up another big lie?

I had to look up the last time the Colts beat the Pats. It was the 4th-and-2 game in 2009. New England has outscored them 285-152 in the seven games since.

Both Kraft and Jonathan Kraft both attended the "final" meeting with McDaniels. According to Reiss, McDaniels was told:

BB wants Josh to be by his side, will show him how he does absolutely everything.
Kids would have stability for his kids, because Kraft's were willing to make long-term commitment to him.

Highlighting two areas that were big factors in Josh McDaniels' shift to stay: Bill Belichick's willingness/desire to take mentor role to higher level and long-term commitment that provided rare stability in coaching profession.

Sounds like Josh's agent just terminated his contract. Heh.

That's pretty much a sign that having Josh as a client is seen as bad for business around the NFL, he's toxic outside of New England now.

Seems like we will be on to Josh Mcdaniels at some point.

Breer did some speculating, and laid it out sort of like this:

McDaniels stays on a long term deal
BB basically shows McDaniels "everything"
McDaniels gets to groom the Brady successor
McDaniels eventually takes over for BB
BB's kids get a better shot at job security once he retires, because McDaniels is the coach
Jonathan eventually takes over for Robert
The new crew becomes McDaniels, Caserio, J. Kraft, QBOTF, with BB's kids still (theoretically) around

McDaniels reputation is destroyed...is this really the guy we want as our next head coach when B.B. retires? I mean I could see players purposely not signing with New England to avoid playing with McDaniels...the man is the most hated coach in the league

Do we need anymore hate and negativity directed toward our team? We have enough as it is
