Cooks doesn't get taken out we win, second game in a row where a piece of sh*t takes one of our guys out, against the Jags they take out Gronk, against the Eagles they take out Cooks, same exact way obvious illegal headshot, offense seem like it never fully recovered after Cooks was taken out

That’s not why we lost.

Brady shredded the Eagles D and had the most passing yards all time.

We lost because for some reason Belichick thought it would be a good idea to bench one of our best corners and we subsequently couldn’t stop a nosebleed.

Offense wasn't the issue. He would have helped, sure, but the difference wasn't decisive. They moved the ball at will in the second half and only got screwed because the Eagles defensive line finally got its wind back thanks to that long drive.

It was a cheap shot and ugly, though. Still not sure why the hell Cooks was running backwards though. I appreciate his desire to make something happen on every play but sometimes you take what you can get.

Having our best and only legit deep threat receiver would of been the difference maker in the long haul

Since this isn't college, targeting should become a strategy. Take 15 and use the protocol to have the other team likely lose a weapon for the rest of the game.

But if you really think that anything "offense" was the reason we lost this game, I don't know what to tell you.

Cooks being out hurt a lot. We would have had an even more prolific offense if he was still in the game. Now, the defense could have still blown it, but maybe if we scored a little easier and got more of a lead, we could have held on.

Probably during the Hail Mary attempt, but the whole second half we matched up and down the field and scored at will. It’s hard to say Cooks would’ve helped that any further.

We just needed stops and didn’t get any. Brady could’ve put that game away with ease if the D came through even once.

But for the life of me, I have no idea how Jenkins wasn’t hit with an Unnecessary Roughness call. Targeting or not, runner or not, that was the definition of a personal foul.

Hogan did a fine job as did Gronk and Amendola. The offense really was not the issue. Even the OL kept Brady clean until that 1v1 that Mason lost for the strip.

If you want to nitpick then I guess turning the ball over two times (4th down, FG) in scoring position certainly made the margin of error thinner but if you score 30+ in the SB and never punt usually you win..

I was mad as hell over that hit which was obviously done on purpose. I didn’t see that as how we lost. We could not stop anyone. Butler out and the defense was a tragedy similar to a Greek play

I've noticed in big games, players will Target the head of key ooponents to try to force the into the protocol.

No excuses

Well, if who want to speculate why Cooks doesn't run more routes over the middle this might be why. He doesn't have the awareness or the intuition to avoid contact.

If this was Jules, DA, WW, Branch they would have dived before getting crunched.

That's what I was saying. Just target. Almost worked for Jax. Worked for Philly. And they didn't even have to take the 15!

But yeah, 2007 Randy Moss would not have helped win this game.

The Eagles beat the Patriots, period. If you can’t beat a team using their back up QB you don’t deserve to win. The defense played a terrible game and they were out coached. Sh.t happens, when you play in the championship game you either get a great win or a tough loss, this time it was the tough loss.
