What took so long? Alshon Jeffery: "We're Bringing That Trophy Back to Philly"

Well Alshon Jeffery did predict he would be in the Super Bowl this past off season...

I’ve played competitively and when the other team guarantees a victory or say they are better than you it does fire you up even more. Thanks for saying this philly.

Am I missing something?
How can they bring the trophy back, when it was never there?

EDIT: I see @Kid~Brady beat me to it?

Right, I'm just saying trash talk probably doesn't mean much either way at the end of the day.
I think BB would disagree.
It's well know that he uses stories like these.

Like telling the team about the Eagles parade plans before SB 39.

I'm sure a few articles of Freddie Mitchell were hanging around the locker rm.

You guys think Gilmore covers Jeffery? It would be pretty huge if we can lock him down. He and Ertz can do the most damage against us IMO. If we can contain Ertz we'll have a great chance to win.

I want Gilmore on Agoholor because he is their best all around WR. He and Ertz do scare me a bit in the middle of the field.

Rowe on Jeffery with Harmon over the top, but Chung also may need some help on Ertz.

Butler on Torrey Smith.

So, it may be a heavy dime look with a DL off the field and a dime look with Bademosi in there at times to help on Ertz at times? Chung is great, but Ertz is pretty quick, too.

Could be that BB puts Gilmore on Ertz because Ertz reprents size and quickness, but he's also a 1st read, which needs to be snuffed out to get Foles throwing outside the hashes, where he is weak.

I think we match up very well with them, so I think it comes down to how they accomplish setting the edge, getting Ajayi/Blount down the middle. where our big guys like Brown, Guy, etc, need to have big games.

Other than that, it's a penetration style game to disrupt their non-confusing RPO NCAA crap.

It's really stupid in the sense that it makes you look undisciplined and nobody really gives you any credit if you end up being right, but if you are wrong you look like a fool and nobody is going to let you forget. It's a no win situation.

As far as bulletin board material, that's the most overrated thing in pro sports. These are professional athletes. If someone's disrespect can motivate you even more than you already are, to perform in the freaking SuperBowl, you have no business being there. It's silly to think these guys are going to get more motivated by someone's stupid comments. It still comes down to preparation and execution.

I don't know how to feel about this game. People are saying Pats because of what Brady & BB have done. But there's no real x's and o's reason, unlike Philly, people can give for us winning. That's the "scary" part.

We match up great with them on offense. Their specialty is stopping the run and we have 3 backs who can thrive without running the ball. We aren’t gonna sit back in the pocket all day, we will spread em out and use our weapons. I don’t see a reason to be worried about the X’s and O’s

Michael Kendricks to Sal palantonio: “we got this.”

I put a lot less stock in BBM ever since the Jets ran their mouths before the playoff game in 2010 and curb stomped us anyway.

That doesn’t count since he said it would be with the bears

Trash talk before the game has nothing to do with the outcome of the game.

Trash talk during the game can.

What I think is sort of funny, is the Eagles act they have played a team like this during the year. Atlanta would have been the closest thing, but obviously the Pats are a full tick better than Atlanta.

What's BB, 16-0 when facing someone in the playoffs, he hadn't faced before?

That either changes Sunday or the pattern holds. I am going with the latter.

The fact is, NE's D and STs would have to under-perform, if Philly is going to win.

The 100.5 passer rating that very mediocre or bad QBs had against their D for passes to RBs/TEs is a pretty devastating stat for Eagles fans.

I think McLeod has like a 125 passer rating on him or some obscene number. Again, I think people are overrating Philly's D because they really haven't played anyone. Then, if you look at the NFC title game only, that's the last vision people have of their team.

I would say Keenum sort of folded a bit, their D lost focus, and that game got out of hand quick to allow for that to happen. I am sorry, but I don't see a focused Pats team, hellbent on forming another separate dynasty in front of a cheating commissioner, coming out unprepared or deer in the headlights.

If we had injuries, especially on the O Line, it might offset, but I am nto seeing that as the case. If they get through this practice unscathed, it looks good.

Yep, broncos in 15 ran their moth hard.

"The parade is at 11 o'clock in case anybody's interested. It's going to start on Broad Street, go past City Hall" . . . oh, wait, have I heard this somewhere before? o_O
