2018 mocks

Depends what other talent is there at 32, personally I don’t think we would take him at 32 if he was there’s with are 64 pick. Then yeah I think the value is there.

Unfortunately i feel he will be picked before that. He's very athletic. He can work on his blocking.

He’d be a wasted pick this year in my opinion unless we’re going to take him late. I’m not sold on any TE this year. There’s no O.J. Howard or David Njoku in this draft this year and even then I’d only want Howard. I don’t think TE is a need this year either. I also am not a fan of Andrews, because he can’t block which is a huge huge issue if your going to be a TE in this team. I’d rather have Gronk, Allen, and Hollister.

If we want a TE this year, we’re going to be looking at UDFA again.

I have Andrews as a second round grade and that’s at a push...

Lots of players who I feel are a lot better and we can get. Lamar Jackson is falling badly for some reason and we can end up getting him in the second round.

Allen has done a nice job blocking but he won't come back under that number. He could be cut.

Personally I think we could see a lot of cuts coming this season. Allen I feel will redo his contract and have it more incentives based and performance based, rather than what it currently is. I also think Marty will redo his contract as well potentially.. but will depend on the surgery.

Next few months will interesting.

Think il do a run down of the talent we could acquire..

Right just done 4 Mock Drafts..

When doing these mocks i went for the players that i personally thought would help us more. i will admit though one of these picks was crazy value. It was Billy price. He falls to us at the end of the second round. So thought the value of him there was to good to not select him.

One thing to note is that Lamar Jackson value in a lot of big boards has dropped significantly and we could be looking at being able to select him potentially at the end of the second round, which i feel will be a steal. We can also select him in the first if we want that extra year option on him.

I was actually surprised when doing these drafts, i have a feeling we could be seeing some players fall dramatically. Roquan Smith fell to the 27th pick in one of these drafts which i couldn't foresee.

Another interesting development is Denzel Ward seems to be climbing into the top ten. Not 100% sold on him being a top ten pick. He's no Jalen Ramsey which i base my top ten corners in drafts on.

Minkah Fitzpatrick, has also fallen to about pick twenty in the mocks. which i'm surprised about, as he's arguably top 5 talent.

Rosen, Darnold. Seem to be locks at the top 6. Surprisingly the JETES, select Josh Jackson CB , and they also seem to be wanting Baker Mayfield. Need to look into Josh Jackson and why he has suddenly shot up draft boards.

First Round Pick -

Evans - Seems like a lock, was the first selection every time.

Round 2 -

Payne DL
Billy Price x2
Dorance Armstrong
Christian kirk

Round 3-
Lorezno Carter x 3
Josh sweat

Round 4 -
Troy Fumagali x2
Trenton Thompson x2

Round 6
QB- Kyle Lauraetta x 2
FB/TE/RB/HBACK/WR - Jaylen Samuels - Like this guy, reminds me of Arron H.....
RB- Kamryn Pettway - Runs through people.

@reamer @BaconGrundleCandy

If you replace the last pick with a cb, then I would be ecstatic over this draft.

I think we could potentially be looking at UDFA for a corner this year which could be the same as TE..

I will need to do some more research on corners for this years draft as not sold on many expect Denzel Ward.

I don't know if I would use my very first pick on McGlinchey. He's a RT-only, and arguably the best RT of the Bill & Tom era, SeaBass Vollmer, was drafted at the end of the 2nd round. If I haven't already traded that pick, then I would use it on the best Defense End or Coverage LB still available.

I would love this draft. But is roquan smith really slipping in the draft? Last i checked he could go as high as 10 to the raiders.

This is a very nice mock. To get those two linebackers from Georgia would be a huge steal.

Not sure McGlinchey has the feet to be a left tackle in our system, but man he is a road grader.

Tolliver would be perfect at the end of round two, provided he runs well.

Bloody hell, would be a ridiculously good draft. Surprised Smith has fallen that far, personally can’t see it happening, but that would be a briliant Draft.

Carter for some reason is falling dramatically and I don’t understand why personally.

Going to do some more mocks today and see what happens..

Just keep in mind that these are fan-run sites; there aren't any "official" boards that they're relying on for rankings. Draft simulations are fun, because they force you to make quick judgement calls on how you value the drop off between different players -- i.e., is it better to get that elite DE now and an average CB later, vs a solid CB and a solid DE? I think they're a great tool, and a ton of fun, but don't rely on them to be accurate or even remotely realistic. :)

Carter looks like he has Shawn Crable legs. BB likes some booty in his front 7 players

Trade number 32 to the browns for 35 and 65. Would the browns do it?

Depends on who is on the board at 32 that they really like.

But you are correct in thinking bb is going to trade the 32nd pick.

There are some really good players expected to be available in the second and third round that would improve our defense next season.
I could see bb trading down in a heartbeat!

Ps: if Evans or vea is on the board at #32, we need to use our pick!

Also i think if lamar Jackson falls i can see BB taking him at 32.

On a lot of mock sims I've done, one of, and sometimes two of, Rashaan Evans, Malik Jefferson and Tremaine Edmunds fall to us in 1st round...
