I don't think I can handle being down 25 again. I ate 5 cupcakes that 4th quarter and rarely eat sweets

These slow starts and epic come backs are taking a toll on my health. my BP and pulse rate during these games are not pretty

Please blow the doors off Eagles Bill, I want to really relax and enjoy a victory, we are overdue

Game summary.

The eagles fumble the opening kick off pats recover at the 25.

Pats first play. Thrown to cooks for the touchdown pats up 7-0

Next series, foles interception at the 50 ran back by Gilmore for 14-0

Ok I can dream

uncharacteristic turnovers lead to the patriots not scoring in first quarter in the last 2 superbowls.

brady drove down the field against the seahawks and threw an uncharacteristic pick in the red-zone against the seahawks.

against the falcons, we were in scoring range when blount fumbled....and of course tom bradys pick 6
I think the 2 turnovers vs the Falcons might've occurred during the 2nd quarter, but the point still stands: there have been opportunities to score during the 1st quarter before, and if there are opportunities to score during the 1st quarter again, then Bill, Skippy & Brady would be extremely careful not to blow them, because doing so might very well lead to defeat this time.

At this point, I've wondered if Belichick is coming out a little vanilla to see what the other team is going to do and then adjust the game plan accordingly. I'd say it's very likely if he's doing this that he's already got a couple gameplans set up based on film study of the other team's tendencies, and then he puts that plan into play with whatever adjustments are necessary based on the new wrinkles in the current game.

How devious. He wouldn't do that, would he? Why that's like saying he prepares plays based on first half plays, but with different routes to fool the other team.

Bud Lights? Remarkable restraint choosing those over regular Buds......probably would have got drunk if you drank the latter.
I was going to say, 20 Bud Lights, so you drank a six-pack. Bfd.

I'd settle for not being down at the half. This version of the Pats offense is more like a smart middleweight fighter than a juggernaut. It probes and jabs, absorbing the body blows while it gradually wears down the opponent with the death of a thousand cuts until the weaknesses are exposed and then...boom. The smoke clears and the opponent is down for the count while their corner and all their backers would swear they would have won all 3 judge's cards if they had just made it to a decision.

Fast starts are nice, but, simply do not seem to be the way of the Pats this season. From my observations, the team seems to have a set of plays, if they work and they score, great, if not, we complain about the play calling. After a couple series the offense seems to start clicking after gauging how the other team is reacting and playing to the plays they run. We also seem to see that with the defense. All sorts of yards given up and scores in the first half. Then comes the second half, adjustments made, with the offense and defense clamping down and just about run away with the game. Recall the Jags game.. 14 - 10 at the half and the offense scores 2 TDs and the D gives up only two FGs.

I've never been drunk in my life.

Have to score first. If freaking Eli can rack up over 400 yards against this reincarnation of the 85 Bears defense so can Tom.

They are due to force some turnovers.

25th in the league during the regular season, and None so far in the POs.
Eagles were 4th, and have 3 so far in the POs.

Damn shame.

Pats are Way WAY overdue to force some turnovers.

Without them, even more pressure is placed on the Offense, who committed the 2nd-fewest turnovers during the regular season (and one Dion Lewis "fumble" in the POs) than there already is.

Well, plus you know we might score enough to beak even or have positive cumulative points in the Super Bowl.

Just sayin'

We run a timing offense. After a week off, we always seem to come out rusty,

It just takes plays to get the timing back.

I expect us to stubble out the gate yet again.

But the eagles defense is not as talented as the jaguars, so if the o line gives Brady time, eventually he will pick them apart! Provided we din’t Turn the ball over!
