Karras stepped in for Andrews when he was sick for a couple of games and outside of one bad snap played solid
Roberts is not great or anything but he's been serviceable
Jones as an UDFA has been good on ST and played solid of defense

All guys picked later than the 95th pick, Getting contributions on that many picks post-3rd round from 1 draft is all that anyone can ask. If they turn into good to great players, awesome. But what teams are really looking for in those rounds is guys that can come and contribute and all the guys listed have contributed

They all can't be Tom Brady(199th pick), Richard Sherman (154th pick) or Antonio Brown (195th pick)

As for Gronkowski, he has been present at Gillette Stadium on each of the five days this week, which is obviously a positive sign. Those close to the situation believe that time is on their side, and if Gronkowski continues to make progress, he has a good chance to be active for Super Bowl LII. One small detail that adds context to where Gronkowsk is in his recovery: He has been driving himself back and forth from the stadium.

Bullish.t, UDFA’s are an extension of the scouting and drafting process. The draft was cut way down years ago but competing for the remaining players has always continued., and the evaluation process is no different, you just don’t get to claim Them you have to convince them to come to your franchise, and the Patriots have excelled at it, which is why you dismiss it. You are one of those draftniks who thinks you know better than Belichick and you have consistently trashed him and theirbdrafts for years and years, and his success drives you nuts and moves you to consistently make idiotic posts, like the one quoted here. Unlike Triumph you haven’t actually said you would be a better GM than Belichick, but I have no doubt you think that. Or maybe I just happened to miss you saying it?

The "most highly watched" since the super bowl is strikingly misleading. It would be like Apple seeing a 10% drop in sales only to release a statement that says "the Iphone is the most highly purchased phone".
On the flip side, "low ratings" is absurdly misleading. There is nothing "low ratings" about the NFL despite the ratings being down, in general, on a year to year to year basis. NFL games are still the gold standard for ratings (live demo).

Regarding ad dollars, Minn v Philly scored a bigger demo number though watched by significantly fewer people overall. Ad dollar rates are based on demo while overall viewers are largely just bragging rights.

Bill Belichick traditionally practices outside regardless of the elements, and it will be interesting to see how he handles things next week. Draft results are more an indication of consensus popularity than they are any purely objective ranking of "talent", regardless what any fan thinks. And, any college prospect acquired during draft weekend immediately becomes an NFL rookie, so their draft status doesn't (or shouldn't) matter anymore except with regard to their cap hit (although it seems to matter a great deal for a few other teams - especially for the perennially bad ones).

Historically, prospects who are signed as UDFA have had, percentage-wise, better NFL "success" rates than 7th-rounders in terms of total games/snaps played in all three phases (plus statistical contributions). The prospects who were drafted in the 7th were simply more popular at the time among the 32 teams than the guys who went undrafted.

Of the 63 players who have played active roster snaps with the Pats this season and helped them get back to the Superbowl for the 2nd consecutive year ...
-- 20 were originally drafted in the first three rounds (regardless who drafted them)

Someone needs to explain to Reiss that since the game will be indoors (and us the last game of the season) there is no reason to hold practice outside and in fact it would be detrimental.

There was another article which said the Eden Prairie practice bubble was very small and also expected NE to practice outside. However looking at the forecast and to your point there is no way in hell they are practicing outside the entire week.

Maybe Tue or Wed they can practice punts but Thurs and Fri ain't happening.
