Question: Would you ever root for an AFC East rival if they were in the SB?

Hell no, I'm probably least inclined to root against the bills, but even if it were Bills-Giants.... screw that bills mafia go giants.

With the success we have had recently the scars of 07 and 11 are getting less obvious. They are still my least wanted team to win in the NFC, them and much further behind would be the Rams

I rooted for the Bills growing up. Don't know about the future. They're as salty on their boards about the Pats as anyone. Def not the Jets. The Phins actually seem the least Pats obsessed of all AFC East teams. Maybe because they've won their share of games in Miami. As to rooting for them, wait and see.

Was checking out boards for the Cowboys, Redskins and Giants. A lot of cheering for the Pats there, some of the hold your noses variety. LOL. Or maybe it’s just cheering for nameless AFC team against the Eagles...

It’s amazing though that this is such a thing. This is more like Patriot exhaustion! I don’t remember people getting tired of the Bulls, at least not like this. Maybe it’s that the league sold them parity and it hasn’t quite panned out that way...

Years ago lots of people rooted for the Bills when they played Dallas in the Super Bowl (and got crushed both times), myself included. I did not, however, root for them when they played the Giants as my boyfriend (now my husband) was from Long Island and was a big Giants fan (in fact, loving Parcells was the reason we got Patriots season tickets when he came aboard). Not sure if I could root for the Jete or Miami if they made it that far, but the Bills somehow don't offend me as much. (And I managed to convert that Giants fan to a Pats fan!)

Miami and NY Jets possibly as it depends on the NFC team, for instance I would cheer against Aaron Rodgers and then there is also the ex-Patriot factor.

Plus a AFC East champ weakens the haters argument of playing in a patsy division.

I don't think I'd ever root for the Jets in a Super Bowl. But if Miami or Buffalo was playing, say, the Giants? Or the Ravens and the Steelers in the AFCCG? Sure. I could get behind them for one game.

People I know who have suffered at the hands of the Patriots (recently) have no interest in watching the Superbowl (Falcons, Seahawks, whole AFCE) These are what I would classify as passionate/hardcore fans and not the casual fans who couldn't name anyone on their offensive line.

I enjoy the suffering of Jets fans and their jealousy of all things Patriot, but my hatred burns brightest for the Dolphins. Hell is not good enough for them and their frigging hankies. Product of the era I grew up in, I guess. Also that l have not lived in NE since 1980.
