Confirmation that Gisele tried to get Tom to retire

Definitely have to think about the long term repercussions of playing.

To that point, I don't see Tom celebrating touchdowns with headbutts anymore. Whatever they decide, I'm good with their decision.

all three of Minnesota's free agent QBs are interesting, in different ways, though Bradford never finishes a season.

In all seriousness, I wonder what Brady will do once he retires. He's so competitive and football is such a big part of his life, it'll be hard for him to replace that. Watching the kids grow up won't fill that entire void.

  1. Given the chance, women ruin everything
  2. Men marry women thinking they won't change. Women marry men thinking they will change. They're both wrong.
Both of the above seem to apply here

Yes, this is true but I find in all my years, the core person never changes. Only the bells and lights change

All I wish for him is to retire on a high note - WITH NEW ENGLAND! Not as a cast off on a decline in another team.

If they win SB52 and he decides to call it quits - I'm ok with it. If he wants to continue play and win another Lombardi or 2, I'm VERY ok with that. I just don't want to see him retire like Peyton hoseface Manning... with a noodle arm, and abysmal statistical year - even if book-ended with a Lombardi.

That’s the single dumbest thing anyone on this board has ever said.

Congratulations on the dumbest post in Patsfans history.

Ivan’s right that might be the most imbecile like thing I’ve ever heard. Jeeze that’s retarted

He's all in on tb12 and motivational life and wellness stuff right now. It's clear that is his next hustle.

Is that enough for him? Don't know

Do I win a prize?

I wish she wouldn’t do this. I understand it that she wants him to roll on out before it ends badly but man this is different. He should be allowed to and supported on playing to 45. Perhaps it’s greed on my part but to be honest when this guy plays, he is in his element and where he wants to be. He’s not doing this for money solely, he gets paid yes and that’s part but he’s probably play anyways. What we are seeing is something that will not happen again, leave Tom alone and just let him do this. Who trains like that if they aren’t a true lover of the game and competition? He will retire when the time cones
They are raising a young family. Have more money than God. He has had one bad injury and [some] concussions. Of course she wants him to retire and be a family man before he gets killed. Oh, and he eats like a goat -- that has to suck for her.

So Brady was telling the truth when he said a few years ago that if it was to his wife, he would be retired be now, WOW Amazing!

Its not like they need the money.

Brady clearly states that he wants to play at least another couple years. For God sake, he has led his team to back to back Superbowls and 7 straight AFC championship games, I don't think he "fallen off the cliff" yet. As for his wife, who would blame her that she wants him to retire.

Doesn't seem like something a "close friend" would make public, really.

I think the neck injury destroyed his arm. Brady has dealt with injuries before. I think putting a good team that can be balance can prolong his career for a couple of more seasons.

I wouldn’t have been mad after last year. That comeback would’ve been the perfect ending.

He likely can walk away but if he feels he can still play then he won't retire.

Do I win a prize?

Absolutely. You get to have your heart broken when Brady leads the Patriots to a win in the Super Bowl, and I’m sure Quantum will will send you one of his Quantum troll dolls in the mail, just send him your address. And it will come with a jersey from the team you and Quantum now cheer for, the San Francisco’s 49ers.

I’ve been thinking about it. And I do think that Gisele could be the one factor that would potentially get him to retire earlier than we’d think. He just might do it for his family.

I think from here on out we have to be prepared for Brady to potentially retire after any season. Because we never know.

Actually I think she may have turned him on to some of the dietary stuff. Pretty sure models don’t crush cheeseburgers

I have no problem at all with a wife trying to convince her husband to stop doing something that is 100% bad for long term health. Love Tommy, and he is already the GOAT and no one is likely to ever come close. If he walked away after the SB it would suck, but I wouldn’t hold it against him at all. I don’t think he will though and if I’m honest, I worry about what he’ll face in his later years

All that “hydration prevents concussions” stuff is total quackery
