Brady Hand Injury

Let’s face it, if he has a DNP Friday, it means he’s not playing. Isn’t that Belichick’s policy ?
As I`ve said before, we will probably know it before official injury report. Team does not have any other QB around aside from Hoyer and they will have to bring somebody in ASAP as a backup if it seems Brady wont be able to suit up.

There might not be a following week.

I've had a bad premonition about this season since the off season.

Lol people REALLY need to take a breather. Its jammed hand. Hell get treatment and will probably be ok for sunday.

You do realize the other team has to score on our defense as well right? Are you betting on blake bortles scoring more points than brady?

And at this point im leaving the thread. This has gone full game day mode.

Brady played with a hand swollen the size of a foot. But hes not going to play because of a jammed hand...

Ok, I'm not going to fret over this. Worst case scenario, Brady can't play. I'd actually rather have a healthy Hoyer in there than Brady with a bad right hand that can't throw the ball. I have no control over this situation so I'm not going to worry about it...it is what it is. I've seen this team for enough years now that BB and the coaches will put the team in the best situation to win. I truly believe Brian Hoyer can play all 4 quarters and win the game against Jacksonville. The QB is a very critical position but it's not the ONLY position on the football field. We still have Gronk, Lewis, White, Hogan, Burkhead, 'Dola, Cooks and an underrated O-Line. Simplify the game for Hoyer a bit and use the dink and dunk passing attack...it's probably what we'd use anyway. Let's all breathe. We're not playing Pittsburgh...we don't have to outgun them. We need to run an efficient offense that moves the ball, and we need to play good defense and special teams. Go Pats!

Interesting contrast between posts. One a winning mentality, one the pathetic whine of a ****less loser.

Is this the highest posts-per-day thread ever excepting game threads? It would be handy to have a search interface that let one answer such question.

The day the Wells Report came out was probably a doozy.

The funniest thing, would be if Brady couldn't go and Hoyer started. The Jags suddenly become the favorite...their whole attitude and narrative changes and it lulls them into a false sense of security. Because would anyone in the media actually give Brian Hoyer a chance to beat the "vaunted" Jacksonville defense? Hoyer steps in and plays a great game and we go on to the SB!

Donte Stallworth weighs in (in general)

What this says to me is Tommy’s injury is significant enough to aggravate if he practiced, so they held him out—which is an important day in the passing game. Thursday’s is 3rd downs. But: “The most important thing is the health of the team.” — Bill Belichick

In 2007, Wes and I were held out of a Thursday practice. Bill came in and told the team: I said in our very first meeting nothing is more important than the health of this team. We’ve got some guys banged up so we’re gonna walkthrough today’s practice.

He improvised a Thursday practice, which is typically the longest day of the workweek (and the most running for WRs), for the whole team to maintain the team’s health. The Patriots will not have a player practice if it will aggravate the injury. Especially the GOAT

Pats would still be favored if only minimally.

The thing for me is there are no press conferences available at all

From anyone period

I can't imagine the "See? Brady is a system QB, anyone can win with that offense" takes that would come out of that scenario. Even if we won 3-0...
