According to the CPSC, in 2016 nearly 11,000 kids under the age of 5 became ill from eating the pods, thinking they were candy. As opposed to 200-300 teens who should have known better.
These pods have apparently been a hazard for young kids for several years now. So, what's most remarkable is that Proctor & Gamble has yet to take them off the market or, at the very least, make them less likely to be mistaken for candy.
I mean why even give a PSA on that? If someone is actually dumb enough to eat one of those things, just let natural selection take over and thin out the herd. Do we really want these people reproducing?
Is this like one of those things where he got caught doing it, and his community service is to make a PSA about it?
