We're On To Jacksonville

You've forgotten what the Broncos D did to us in our non SB years over the last 4 years? I would say that this D is superior to the Broncos D and could pose a serious threat to us. For the first time in a while, I'm scared that we actually lose since this defense has talent at every single level - an excellent pass rush, excellent secondary, etc. Their offense isn't star studded at all - which is a plus - but the Patriots won't be scoring much next Sunday.

when did you see the broncos of 2013 or 2015 give up 40+ points? that D was way better than this Jags team.

uh those denver teams never gave up 42 points

Brady shredded a seahawks defense much better than this jags D in the superbowl 2014. and Bortles isnt russell wilson

Conditioning is going to be important for both teams I feel.

Jacksonville worries me more than most teams in the league, mainly due to the fact they can rush 4 and get to Brady.

It will be a hell of a game I feel. We’re going to have to be at our utter best to come out and beat them.

Ramsey against Gronk is going to be a hell of a match up as I imagine that’s who Jacksonville will put on him.

Anyway, Let’s f*****g Go!

Buffalo held them to 10 points at home. Then they score 35 on the road. Dunno what to think. Pats D is better than Buffalo by far.

I could be remembering wrong here, and I know it was ages ago. But, wasn’t all of the reports coming out of our joint practices that the Jags D was dominant against our O? Again, long time ago, it was practices, and the teams are different, but that was when i knew that D was going to be good. In other news, those receivers in Pitt seem like they can pull everything in. My goodness!

As I posted in the other thread, Jaguars gave up 44 to Jimmy G, 42 to Big Ben, and 37 to Mariota. They didn't play any other decent QBs all year (other than Wilson, who still put up almost 300 yards and 3 TDs). They're vulnerable to being spread out and thrown on -- which is precisely what Brady excels at doing to overly aggressive defenses.

We can contain Bortles in the pocket and force him into low percentage throws. I don't see how they could upset us, with the way the team came out so focused yesterday. Should be a solid game but a comfortable win by the end.

Mods change title to Jacksonville

As it's plural and rolls off tongue better

I said a few weeks ago Jac was the harder matchup and people here called me dumb.
Fournette when he gets going is a load.
That secondary can shut down our receivers.
We need the backs to make plays in the passing game.
Be a good time for Burkhead to come back.

Fournette is injured though. Wasn't effective and had no burst after the ankle injury. I would like Mitchell and Burkhead ready to go though. If Marty weren't hurt I think he'd be helpful if Ramsey is on Gronk.

If you told me that we get to play Jacksonville with a trip to the Superbowl on the line before the season started I'd ****ing say hell ya baby.

I'm not saying this is a guarntee or anything but now isn' the time to be scared

If you post anything other than glowing praise of the Patriots and fearless, divorced from reality, bravado, you will be called names, told to kill yourself and stalked by a bunch of infantile, broken fools.

Outside of the game day threads that go in the opposite direction, this forum is like the old SNL "DaBears" sketch. Kellerman may have been on to something for once.

My wish list keeps coming true.....another garbage QB coming to Foxboro.
Now all I want is Brees to lose in the next two weeks.
Mariota
Bortles
Foles/Keenum ?

The stars are aligning as we speak...but...Brees needs to go

Should win the game but it wouldn't shock me if it's a close game in the 4th. I don't think this will be like the titans game. Our defense has to stop bortles. We have made average QBs look like hall of famers before.

This board is going to be unbearable if I have to listen to a week of "NE is in trouble. Jags D will shut Brady down."

It's just going to make it more entertaining after the game. Some of these posters are going to feel more humiliated than the Steelers do after allowing 45 points at home to Blake Bortles.

JAX offense is not just Bortles. They had the 5th most points in the NFL and 6th most yards. Both better than PIT. That was their 3rd game over 40 points this year, NE has done that once.

Bortles might be bad but JAX offense isn't.
