• Chris Ballard spent 2001-2012 with the Chicago Bears w/ 2012 as Dir Pro Scouting. He was later at the Chiefs in 2013-2015
• Phill Emery was GM of the Bears in 2012-2014. Was also head of Strength and Conditioning @ Navy.
• Bill was buddies with Jerry Angelo who was GM when Ballard was there.
• Emery was GM of the Falcons 04-08. He was succeeded by Dimintroff.
• Phil Emery worked for Pioli in KC.
• Ballard was promoted by Emery when he was GM of da Bears.

So, I don't think there was an origional direct connection with Josh but there is a clear circle of trust that Ballard is part of with BB being the Godfather.

It almost looks like BB has orchestrated the hirings of all these guys.

I'd also speculate that when getting the low down on Brisket, Ballard spoke to Josh.

#Chiefs assistant head coach Brad Childress has been planning to retire, sources tell @JamesPalmerTV and me, and it doesn’t sound like Andy Reid will be able to talk him out of it after Matt Nagy’s departure. He’s at peace. More turnover in KC.

Colts messageboard is penciling in McDaniels as head coach and they are not worthy because they say he's a cheater and the Patriots are cheaters so they wont a head coach with no integrity.
They don't deserve the Belichick coaching tree I hope he turns them down.
But the only interviews the Colts have had is McDaniels Richards and Wilks thus far.
Not looking good for our OC.

Yea the "knows and likes him" doesn't mean anything to me either. I look at the connections and the relationships. How they actually work together is a mystery because they haven't

Same goes for Quinn and Patricia. They could be best buddies or just colleagues who happened to work at the same company. Who knows. Just because someone works at the same place doesn't mean they can work well together.

Other than clowns like Steve Gutman, Kensil, Mangini, Grigson, Polian and I'm sure others at teams or in the league office, BB has a 40 year old vast network of people he can trust and in turn, trust him. I think that will play a huge role in where Josh goes.

The difference is matty p and Quinn worked together at the model franchise so they share a history of understanding the right way to do things.
