He doesn’t need to win championships. He can just be a top 10-12 QB make his money and flirt with the playoffs and it would be a successful career.
If Jimmy is going to win “a couple championships” in SF, we’ve already made the wrong decision on which QB to keep.

Then go root for the 49er’s

Funny thing about great QBs, the love affair somewhat wanes if the SB titles don't come with the reg. season success. But if/when(a BIG if) Jimmy starts bringing in the Belichicks(aka the Lombardis) then it may get interesting with some of the spoiled rotten brats that Brady and Belichick have unwittingly created.

The spoiled rotten little *****es are the ones who wanted Brady traded, they will be 49er fans by August.

I can hardly wait for them to be gone. Been arguing with them a year or better now

I’ve had it with them. They are openly rooting for bad sh.t to happen to this team.

You realize that group includes Bill Belichick, so be carefully what you wish for.

Since my (semi)retirement, I've listened to a lot of it. The current version of sports talk radio bears virtually no resemblance to The Sports Huddle or Talking All Sports of the 70s. Those shows, to me, were like a bunch of people in a bar shooting the **** about sports. Sure, in the process, they'd be some disagreements and raised voices at times, but generally people would listen to one another and consider others' opinions. The current version, particularly around here, is an entirely different enterprise. Marc Bertrand, Michael Felger and most others from both local stations have a different goal than guys like Eddie Andelman and Guy Mainella did. Today's hosts have a primary goal of pissing people off enough to listen and respond and a secondary goal of generating dialogue centered around analysis. The original guys had it reversed. That may be an oversimplification, but it's largely what I believe. Bertrand comes from "The Felger Tree" (he was on that show to start) and the philosophy of those people is that the listeners, by and large, are idiots who are beneath them and can be manipulated. Sadly, they're pretty damn good at it.

Yeah, all those old NFL players starting to play like rookies again, yep, happens all the time.

Name the young players who have played as well as Brady has the last 3 seasons?

Go for it. That’s Brady at 38-39-40

Show us statisticallywhich young QB has outplayed Brady.

Same challenge goes for all the Garrapolites.

I get what you're saying and it is different today, but Eddie Andelman was certainly trying to piss people off. Maybe you're not a hockey fan. I'm not one myself, but his treatment of the 70's Bruins was worse than even today's talk radio. After Dryden's Canadian's upset the Bruins the Sports Huddle was literally celebrating. They began the show with each host saying, "goodbye Espo, goodbye Doakie."

Can you imagine Felger and Mazz starting a show after a playoff loss, "see ya Gronk, goodbye GOAT?"

Montana ----- Young

Farve ------ Rodgers

Brady ------ Hummmmm

You're correct about Andelman. I'm not a hockey fan, but I do remember what you refer to. While Eddie did intentionally provoke, I don't remember him being extreme to the extent of some of today's hosts. I do, however, remember him pissing some people off by referring gleefully to planning his " Yankee Elimination Parties"...

Those that preferred keeping Jimmy G over Brady want the security of being "good" for the next 10 years at the expense of being "great" for the next 3 or 4 years.

I prefer they chase the big prize in the short term and try to find/develop a successor in the draft this year or next.

The New York post says the pats are dysfunctional as the jets: it must be true

I listened to Andelman because he was entertaining, but he was a pain in the ***, and one of the original deplorables.

I didn’t realize that. I don’t want him going anywhere but I would argue to the bitter end on Brady staying here with the pats. I know all the standard arguments, I’ve heard them all. That said, my feeling remains even if it means they go .500 for two or theee years after Brady. That’s a price I’m ok with, a thing I’m really not ok with is seeing the goat in a Jete uniform. To me that outcome is even more horrible than a North Korean scud attack. The guys given me a ton of good memories and I don’t want a bad one like that. I’m a realist though and understand that it will be whatever.

Not meaning to disagree with your statement at all. Just wanted to clarify that it’s BUF, TEN, or KC.

If JAX wins, they automatically go to PIT.

Fixed, thanks.

Kraft needs to step back and stay out of football operations!

He needs to stick to what he does best, drink and go to therapy!!!

Leave bb alone. Kraft already ran parcels out of the house, is he doing the same to bb?

Are there any mediators with experience dealing with billionaire drunks and maniacal egomaniac head coaches!!!!

Show where Kraft intervened. Other than ASKING Belichick to find a roster spot for Troy Brown in his last season it has never happened. And that was a request, not a demand, so it is not interference.
