It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Belichick does not always make the best move - but his average for making the best moves is tremendous.only time will tell if this was the right move. Right now all we have is gossip, rumors, sources say this/that and whatever. Nobody knows unless you're in that organization.

I do believe JG was the guy, but what are you gonna do? You don't trade the face of the dynasty...do you? I don't! I have faith we'll find a plan B when Tom is done, if not oh well. The Run we had WITH him, and him finishing his career here is something NONE of the other great QB's have ever done. #eternallygratefulTB12only time will tell if this was the right move. With all due respect, that's just not true.Holley is right there with Felger and CHB. All to be ignored.
BB's a smart guy. He sees Jimmy every single day. He knows how good he is. No way in a million years does he trade somebody like that who can continue this run when Tom is 40 years old without Kraft stepping in. No way. BB puts that sentimental crap aside and does what's best.

I think some younger fans fear that we may have to become an average team at some point post Brady ... maybe - we'll see.
Some of us older guys who suffered through horrible Patriots teams I think are less fearful of that - we've been there before.

Is there a blueprint for replacing Brady and Belichick - I doubt it.

The point is, as boston sports fans we were very close, and Krafty f-d it up in 96...if you're not a Boston fan from the area u wouldn't understandI am not from Boston, but was a Pats fan long before that. And no, I don't recall us being particularly pissed with Kraft, as we'd been through a string of really ****e owners prior to that including one who wanted to move the team to St. Louis.
The Parcells era ended because Parcells sold us out to the Jete, including bailing on the team going into a Super Bowl and stealing Curtis Martin. I don't think anyone at the time was on his side, quite the contrary, this is the origin of the animus we have with the Jete.
I'll admit to enjoying the Carroll era on the defensive side of the ball; loved his high risk/high reward style of defense and those were fun teams to watch. And it took me a while to realize that Grier was a disaster. But I don't have any recollection of anyone being upset with Kraft. Pete was wearing out his welcome, sure, but in retrospect he turned out to be a pretty decent coach. Kraft rode the wave of saving the team and then winning all those super bowls for a long time. And rightfully so. It was only when he came out as Roger's stooge that the fanbase turned on him. And rightfully so.
You just took us from Hunt For Red October to Buckaroo Banzai.Across the 8th dimension!
Was he carrying a sack of footballs and calling himself The Deflator?Yeah but this can’t be true .. some dude taking a **** in the bathroom at Gillette said we are the Browns.
I see what you are saying but BB is not just smart but pragmatic. Brady now and the next year is better than Jimmy. I don't know Jimmy's ceiling but BB would have gone against his mantra if he traded Brady and went with Jimmy next year. Outside of cutting Brady or trading him, there was no other way of keeping Jimmy. Are you saying BB was getting rid of Brady after this season? Jimmy in 5 games has thrown 7TDs and 5Ints, he is good and could have been our Steve Young but there is still time to find there heir.BB's a smart guy. He sees Jimmy every single day.
