Holy crap this is going to be fuel to the fire for Brady just in time for the playoff run. This was a total hit piece against him.

I never get why he just does not drop a chunk of the weight. I mean you can go from 350 to 250 with just some of effort. True you will never get to your college weight again, but he is in the neighborhood of mid 300s.. at his age he could still reach 4 bills.

I thought you only believe in facts? I'm 41 years old and for the last 5 years I've had a lower weight than I ever had in college.

OK, I read it.

--It's hugely, almost comically, overstated. Brady and Belichick ALWAYS struck me as cordial professionals. They are very different people, and have had a great working relationship. Haven't seen how that's changed.

--There was likely some minor friction with Brady's trainer. A relationship this high level going on for this long, OF COURSE they'll be occasional head butting. Not a big deal.

--The overstated nature struck me most in a bit I don't think anybody's talked about. Hogan got hurt, which is apparently a reflection of some.....issue? What? Laughable.

--In addition to being overstated, it's criminally under-sourced. Now look, any piece, be it sports, politics, whatever, will rely on anonymous sources to a degree. The extent you can accept that is how credible the news source and reporter are. This is ESPN....to be as charitable as possible, they are not credible.

--Last, the whole "end is near" tone that's popping up all over the place. OF COURSE IT IS. Even if Brady plays to 45, he's closer to the end than the beginning. I predict everyone at ESPN is going to die. Eventually, I will be right.

Look, the Pats are the only game in town. ESPN and the public knows that. This is really a case of little to see here, blown up to cosmic standards. So in short, save your time, let's not post about this too much longer, and ESPN can go **** themselves.

Amen brother.
Brady is "unique" in his composition / disposition. He's not a guy's guy in the traditional sense of how we view athletes. To each his own.
Live your life as you want....hoorah!
Just don't try to monetize it at the expense of susceptible fans.

The brilliance and arrogance of the TB12 religion is personified by his TB12 Method catalogue....I repeat......catalogue. Getting loyal disciples to shell out big money to purchase his product catalogue disguised as a self help manual.....cunningly brilliant.....mentor Tony Robbins must be proud.
No doubt in my mind Guerrero has been a loyal disciple of Robbins for decades...but unlike most of Robbins flock, Guerrero was likely drawn toward the business model .....of selling "air." Unlike Robbins, Guerrero's first leap into this marketing scheme was selling "water" and then "cancer fighting" potions. Dam the FDA.
Maybe Guerrero's sleep patterns were unusual and he found himself in front of TVs at 3AM watching Slap Chop informercials and get rich Real Estate systems...or Tony Robbins productions where eager dupes pay him thousands for the privilege of walking on fire for his commercials. Brilliant.

Sadly, Brady is becoming a caricature of himself and Guerrero has been the most influential force behind this transformation. When you live in an isolated lifestyle as Brady/Gisele do, it is easy to understand how someone you have let inside can be a major influence. Understanding Guerrero's past, it is no surprise Brady is being led in this direction. Brady's legacy will now include this part of his life and this is damaging and unseemly. Just my opinion.

This reads like a media piece. You should send it in to The Boston Herald.

Not that this org needs more motivation but this has to piss off Tom.

...and a pissed off Tom tends to do amazing things on the football field.

I think it was specifically NOT in play because of what they learned when they did do it with Cassel. The franchise tender created a huge cap hold that prevented signing free agents, both our own and outside, until a trade was finalized. It was a tremendous impediment to off-season team-building. Plus without his glittering 5 games in SF, would the trade market for JG really be that hot next summer, at a price tag of 23 million and up?

They did not shop for the best offer, but they saw a good situation for JG on a last-place team with good management needing a QB. It figured the pick to be in the top 4 picks in round 2. They knew JG was good, but nobody saw a 5-0 finish for what had been a train wreck of a team, dropping the pick to 43 or whatever.

Current cap commitment for 2018 is 86.5M

The cap could be as high as 178M

I don’t see the issue

For those of you who like Lombardi's takes, he'll be on Ordway's show at 12:30 pm.

Hmm - you can't spell Wickersham without sham.

Read the article, lots of fluff and guesswork. "according to staffers" You can say whatever you want, it means nothing without direct quotes and names.
And even so, who cares? We're 13-3, finished strong and are two wins from another Superbowl appearance.

So many teams would love to have our 'problems.'

I've said it before and I'll keep on saying it. These are the Good 'ol Days I 'll tell my kids about, so just sit back and enjoy some great football.
