No clue what will be in the ESPN story, BUT:

A) Sure, I'll check it out.

B) The last ESPN/Patriots "bombshell" cited 90 anonymous sources who "felt" or "heard" things.

C) 31 NFL teams would *kill* to have the dysfunction of the New England Pat
riots.

Michael Hurley does a good job. And I agree with his "C" thought completely :)

We will all be so sad when TB/BB are gone and then we will realize that perhaps we wont follow the team as closely and care as much and not have to hear about all this media garbage anymore...and wont be so sad after all.

As a back seat GM and water cooler gossip monger….lets toss out some crap for digestion:

-No doubt in my mind Guerrero is the Pats snitch.
The guy is an opportunist extraordinaire / snake oil salesmen who has never passed up a chance to operate in dark zones. He's Brady's BFF /confidant….he's been recently scorned by the organization…and all of a sudden we're learning about Brady's maneuvering? Surprise surprise.

……..
I actually think there is a source who said some things and that person may be Brady's Dad. He probably did not say it to be malicious but there are some things he has said in the past that made me wonder about what he will do and say when we don't extend Brady.

Remember when Brady's old man was telling the media that Tommy's time here in Foxborough would end badly?? Where do you think that came from?? Tommy has always been very insecure about Belichick's reputation for getting rid of aging veterans. Bill then drafts Garapollo, cites Tommy's age and contract status when doing so, Bill meets with the backup QB on a weekly basis, Adam Shafter is tweeting at draft time that Garapollo is off the table and BB won't trade him for 3 1st round picks.......and then in the middle of the season, after Jacoby Brissette was traded for a bag of footballs Belichick decides now is a really good time to trade my other backup QB and I won't shop him around to other teams and get the best deal possible I'll just call up my buddy John Lynch and take a 2nd round pick for him and he trades Jimmy Garappolo. Greg Bedard has it right. Tommy was crying to Kraft and Kraft forced the issue.
I don't believe Belichick is walking away this year. I do believe he will retire years earlier than he was planning to.
Or maybe BB wanted JG as a competent backup And figured his trade value with half a season left on his contract was about equal to with one season left.

Considered hitting "agree" but I won't check it out. No need to give them the clicks, and I'll get the gist of it pretty quickly from the discussion.

Definitely agree with C. No doubt at all about that.

Also, I wonder if Guerrero is about to create a situation in which his most famous client ends up forced to choose between his employer and his partner?

Reading all the speculation about BB retiring unexpectedly got me wondering if it will be TB12 who walks away in a fit of pique, because his nutrionist/trainer binky gets no respect from the Pats. Lots of ways that kind of scenario could end up fitting his dad's expectation that things will not end well.

This could be the torch that lights that pyre.

Yea can't wait till we stop winning Super Bowls too much drama

That is not really what I said. Many posters gave up with deflategate Many many posters have stated that they are willing to put up with the BS of the league and the officials and the media because of the current greatness. They have said that once its over (and yes - unfortunately it will be someday) they will probably become more casual fans.

All you posted was a ridiculous straw man

Why would BB go anywhere else?

Holy cow man.

Do you understand what that would entail?

Brady isn't going anywhere else either for similar reasons.

NFL Rule Book
Section 47
Sub-section 26
Paragraph 12

There shall be no post-season where the NFL League Offices will not initiate a controversy via their business partners at ESPN that is instigated with the purpose of defaming the New England Patriots, their entire organization, their players, coaches and fans, until the day that Bill Belichick. Ernie Adams, Berj Najarian, Nick Caserio and Mark Henderson are all dead and buried.

Sincerely,
Don Shula
NFL Competition Committee

One day, the Browns will also have the media announce in advance that they have written an article about them and it is actually news even when no one has really seen the article.

Can't wait for some drama! We haven't had this stuff happen since Deflategate!! You have no idea how hyped I am for the rumor mill to go crazy

I bet next years Super Bowl run drama will be

"Source's that Bill Belichick and Tom Brady are part of the illuminati, Kraft convinced Belichick to sell his soul to the devil in exchange for richies and success, they contacted Brady before the draft, he wouldn't agree, till the draft came and he fell to the 6th round, felt his future was in jeopardy so he caved in and was drafted" #illuminatiGate

Just a joke relax

I do think if McDaniels stays, that might signal that Belichick's future might be limited to just a couple of more seasons instead of perhaps longer. Like Garoppolo, Josh is going to get another shot as a head coach and the obvious fit - as Mike Reiss and others have insinuated - is to be the successor here. The question is just probably how long he's willing to wait, and I assume that discussion has probably come up at some point, so I'm curious to see how it plays out this year given how much interest he's received. If he's still around after all of this is over, I think that will certainly be interesting. The obvious argument is that his family is comfortable here and he's in a great situation. But I'm sure he'd like to be a head coach again and if he feels his opportunity is coming here relatively soon and he can stay, I'm assuming that's probably what his preference would be.

I'm looking over to the right of the forum for links to stories.

There is one from espn

I s### you not, this is the title.

Keep in mind, this is from espn, not cbs, etc.

"espn story about Patriots coming"

Let me get this straight.

I never considered Pops Brady...but good job Vuudu and RhodyPatriot....he belongs on top of the narc list. Factor in the tweet about Brady badgering Kraft about JG and his contract.....insider details for sure.
My updated most likely to snitch list:
1) Brady Sr.
2) Snake oil salesman Guerrero
3) Super G
4) Jonathan Kraft

BB should pull a power move: Give me 10% of the team or I'll go get it from Jerry Jones
