This is how bad it is for the JETES.

I found myself thinking back to the past during Christmas, and I realized that I've seen all of the Jete suckage in their history.

I started off rooting for them in SBIII because they were playing the hated NFC, and boy didn't Weeb's Dweebs come through.

Since then it's been all downhill though. The next time they made it to the AFCC was with Belichick's defense. And the time after that was with Buddy Ryan, but in each case they lost and haven't been to a SB.

Throw in the fact that the man who could have saved them was Belichick, and he wanted no part of the suckage. Then he ended up here in Patsville and the rest is history.

All of which just shows just how much it sucks to be a Jete.

It has been a long wait, but soon the 2018 off-season will begin.
Just curious: what has been your favorite off-season from the last five years? Also, are you upset that prices on Jete gear have been increased for the off-season? How do you personally plan to celebrate arrival of the off-season? Any parties planned with your fellow Jete fan cretins?

I wish I could enjoy the off-season half as much as you do. I guess I'm just a sucker for real football that doesn't suck or involve incompetent morons.

Richardson gone, Wilkerson probably playing his last game. Bust safety and cornerback. Wasted draft picks in the grand scheme of things.

Anyone remember when you looked at the jete roster and laughed at everything except the dline?

Now it's back to normal. Everything sucks about them.

This spring the Jete plan to hold the first first annual SUCKAPALOOZA. Word is they already have a number of acts lined up including the Woody Johnsons, Prince Rex and the Rectum Wreckers, Imitation Green Day (with a real dookie as lead singer) and the Fabulous Thunderturds to name a few.

Sure, I would have preferred less wins, but 5-11 isn't too shabby either.

There are 5 QBs I'd be happy drafting. And even if we don't move up, looks as though we'll pick the 3rd or 4th QB.

It has been a long wait, but soon the 2018 off-season will begin. At least now the team has developed the D, WRs, and TE. Just hope they use the 2 2nd round picks and 100mil well. (Oline hopefully is a big part of it.)

I’m sure they’ll use the $100M well. That’s the recipe for success, carrying $100M into the offseason to make a bunch of insane signings.

As the ritual happens every year - The Jete become the leaders of the off season.

Then the 2018 NFL week 1 games begin and it's downhill from there.

Cleveland has to be the favorite this off-season. A crap ton of cap space and two top 5 draft picks.

Not to mention Josh Gordon just coming back at the end of the season, so that's kinda like an off-season pickup too.

Actually coulda swore I heard Sheldon may come back. Which would be cool. I preferred Sheldon over Wilk anyway.

How frustrating is Wilk lol?

I watch a ton of games and he has/is forever sooooooo hot/cold. Really takes off plays. Pattern for years.

Who knows that Seattle line hasn't been half as good as they should be even w/out Wilk.

They could easily dismantle this off season.

Id love to add Bennett here in New England. Marty almost assuredly is in his ear every other week.

Wouldn't be surprised if he was moved. Proud guy that team can might be able to afford letting go bc of Clark, Avril, Sheldon (if he stays)

Yeah definitely. That's why I preferred Sheldon over Wilk.

I mean Sheldon had the occasional immature comments ("where da hoes at") and that arrest, but the guy is pure hustle. Chasing 180lb dudes 50yds downfield.

Wilk is obviously a great player at times. Plus he's a local kid. Elizabeth NJ I think. Donates money and time locally. No glaring drug/crime problems.

But the guy disappears for plays/quarters. Seems to lack that drive Sheldon has.

Now I'm happy with what the Jets got for Sheldon (2nd round pick and Kearse who's a legit WR2), but it'd be even sweeter if we got that, and could still get Sheldon back.

Doesn't seem like Seattle knows what to do with him. Once they got him, I figured that D was gonna be unstoppable. However a few injuries later, they weren't anything special. While Sheldon really didn't do much there.

Does forte retire after this season?

Perhaps they could add a Burning Man concept -
A massive effigy of the Jete logo made out of wasted Jete jersey purchases from 1965 to present.

Hopefully. I'd like the additional 4mil in cap space.

Powell, McGuire, [random low round draft pick, or cheap FA] is fine with me.

Yes, that's a good point, but you have to understand that the Jete FO is much, much dumber than you.

This may be true. Maccagnan has a lot to prove after his executive of the year 2016. 2017 wasn't nearly as impressive.

The guy definitely has the ammunition to do some serious damage this off-season. Looking forward to see how it goes.
