Have you tried the foot and hand warming inserts? I've used them outside in cold weather for more than three or four hours. They worked well for me and my kids. I put them in my tennis shoes if I'm not trudging through snow and my boots if in the snow.

They help me a little bit, but the footwarmers are really disappointing.

On the Gulf Coast temperatures are forecast for this coming Sunday's game in the low 60's so fire-pit will be activated for pregame revelry.

And by game time, temperatures in the man cave may drop into the high 50's so bundle up. Plenty of seating available for those brave enough to endure the elements! ;) Come early stay late.

I went to the Pats vs Titans Divisional playoff game in the 2003 season. I think it was 3 degrees. Before I would get back to my seats the beer I bought was freezing into ice.
The Wind Chill must have been 0 -5 degrees.
I was at that game. Beer would turn into slush. How chocolate would turn into slush. My girlfriend spent most of the 4th quarter in the bathroom since it was warmer in there.

I was at the PO game vs SD in 2008 (the LDT ***** out game) and it was close to 0 with the wind chill. I was warm all game except my feet at the very end. I wore thermal underwear, sweatpants and baggy jeans, undershirt, long sleeve t, sweatshirt and ski jacket.
My feet had wool socks over athletic socks inside work boots with a half pint of brandy tucked into each boot. I was shedding layers during the early part of the game and layering back up at halftime and never felt really uncomfortable.

14 degrees, f**k that! I'll be watching on the 108 inch screen in the man cave!

Another note on that Tennessee game, we had an ez up w sides and 2 propane heaters... It was 58 inside our tent and 4 outside during the tailgate

I am too old to watch this game outside, too cold, so I will miss the excitement of this win with the crowd. I skied 100 days a year and have all the clothes but sitting still or I should say jumping up and down or just standing up doesn't keep you warm enough.

Please, let me say it again, please make sure to cover every piece of skin. Frost bite isn't fun.

I am going to try my Merrell hiking boots and maybe get some Under Armour for this weekend. Also, though I hate to wear snow pants to the game (so bulky and awkward) I am probably going to do that this weekend too.
I got shearling lined LL Bean boots 2 winters ago. I'd hope they'd stand up to a 14 degree football game day. Also worth investing in a good sock insulation set up. Keep Feet Warm in the Winter: 10 Tips From Polar Explorer

Damn Tune. I don't know if you and Joker feel the same way, but I am getting a little too old for these cold games. At least the Jest game is a 1:00 p.m. game, but I am starting to dread the thought of night time playoff games and the temps likely to accompany them. I also underdressed this past weekend (should have known better!) and felt it in my bones.
You have to take care of yourself girl.

We're all getting older, and there's plenty of high tech stuff to bundle up with today.

Sorry to sound like your mom.

I also know from experience.

Me too. Embarrasing and depressing for me as I vowed never to be! My husband officially retired from games about 2 years ago, so at least I'm better than him!
You got me too. I'm sure if I still lived back there I wouldn't be going to any game once November hits. Especially night games.

My blood is so thin now I can't handle anything less than about 55.

Brandy wears a braded chain made of finest silver from the north of Spain

"So, Roger, since it's going to be so effing cold at Gillette on Sunday, can I go ahead and report that Brady is suspected of deflating the footballs?"

"It's great working with you again, Mort!"

LOL, it's okay - it's nice to be mothered once in a while (despite what your kids tell you).

I remember that game you could see the O and D-Linemen breathe. It was very warm and comfortable in my living room.:D
