LOL, I am still going, but on New Year's I have managed to procure a bunch of tickets for my kids and their friends, so I am going to be walking to the stadium with a bunch of teenagers, that is to say that I will be walking alone, because they leave me in the dust. For me my feet are always the worst and I have never managed to find the best solution. If I wear big heavy work boots (the warmest I have found) my feet are aching by the end of the night, and I am gimping on the walk back to the car. If I wear my comfortable UGGS or sneakers (can't even consider them at this time of year), then my feet are freezing half way through the game (the cold concrete at Gillette is brutal on anything with a thin sole - foot warmers don't seem to work for me) and I am gimping back to the car. I have some Merrell hiking boots that I am going to try this weekend.
I hear you on the sweating then freezing dilemma too. I often go to an indoor tailgate so I am hot before leaving for game, freezing as I start to walk, sweating as I reach the stadium, then freezing again by half time, then the foot problem usually kicks in. God, as I read this I sound like a such a complainer, LOL. This past weekend I went with a friend who had a parking pass, so sitting in the warm car 5 minutes after leaving my seat was a treat. What I really need is someone to donate club seats and a helicopter ride for each game to me. Any volunteers? LOL.
