why dont we just double benjamin?? gilmore is a terrible player and is constantly getting abused, and bill is OK with that??? that was bad..we won on 1st down, then give up a huge play.
This is just a bad matchup for Gilmore. He's had good coverage every time he's been beaten, Benjamin is just too big for him. He can usually handle bigger receivers, but I think we've found the upper limit of size he can handle and Benjamin surpasses it.
By double do you mean have Richards balancing himself on Gilmore's shoulders? Because a lot of what Benjamin is doing is just really using his size really well.

If he doesnt turn towards the ball people will ***** that he commits OPI. If he does it and obviously has no idea that Benjamin stayed in bounds behind him people will ***** that he has no eyes on the backside of his skull.
I think a lot of people are emotionally invested in being right about Gilmore and it is showing in their commentary. I can't blame Gilmore for that last catch.
