@maineman209 beat me to it. Rowe had a god awful game until the final play.

Other han the 69 yard pass to jjss he only allowed 3 catches all game and played over 50 snaps. The big play sucked but he wasn’t awful all day.

I think @PatsBoy12 brought up a good topic. Although I think it's a good problem to have, I'm not sure if one has stood out more than the other. Rowe had that great play at the end of the game, but also let up the the huge play on Pitt's last drive as well.

Jones on the other hand seemed to perform adequately in Rowe's spot when he was out, but he didn't stand out to me. All in all, I think the strength of our defense is our secondary, notwithstanding Richards of course.

Since I respect Kontra' opinion a great deal, I went back and checked to see why he would specifically suggest that Rowe's "length" would disqualify him for inside coverage play.

I just use the "Ignore Poster" feature quite a bit. It makes threads significantly shorter by not displaying posts from The Ignored.

Legitimately thought this was going to be a thread talking about Rowe on Jones in the SB.

So while Jones is a very solid backup, I think with that in mind (how well Rowe played against Julio), I'd maybe say Rowe's veteran knowledge and experience is what separates him from Jones. CB is prolly the hardest position to play outside of QB, so I'd imagine it might take a second to get back into the feel of things coming off an injury, especially against the WR core that had Ben at his best throwing to them.

I hear ya man, but I can't do it. To me it's letting the inmates run the asylum. It is 3 or 4 pure trolls that are here to just annoy everyone, and then another 3 or 4 miserable posters who just complain about everything.
