Typical that Brady's weakness is his Achilles....as when Tom Sr. dipped him in the river Styx as an infant, he held him by one of his heels...

It's easy, and only takes a few moments. One could argue it is helpful for the offense to get extra work on their timing, but I agree with you.Casual NFL/Pats fan here. It always surprises me that they leave him in for the whole game when it is won. He's 40 years old playing in the key position in the team. Would it not make sense to give him a rest for the 4th quarter, for example, of games that are effectively over as a contest? This has the added benefit of giving valuable gametime to his backup (Hoyer?), so he is ready if called upon later in the season.
But that's not true. If it's partially torn immobilized for a few weeks with a walking book will be fine.Again, my point is that if the Achilles IS partially torn, rest won't help it, only surgery. A player can remain somewhat functional playing on a partially torn Achilles, but once it tears completely it's sayonara season.
On another note, does anyone know or heard about Andrews illness? He was out last Thursday and a week later still not practicing. Hopefully a bad cold or flu in which case, stay away.
tendonosis?...oh well, as long as it's not rhinocerosis I ok with it..
6 games left. Hope he can pulled through. Interesting to see how it affects his accuracy if any.
Happy Thanksgiving, but your "9" is upside down.6 games left. Hope he can pulled through. Interesting to see how it affects his accuracy if any.

This. I had the exact same thought.someone specified that its really an achilles?
that leads me to believe its less than nothing and they randomely chose achilles, or its actually something else thats the issue and they said achilles
I hear a lot of you guys say Jimmy G knew the system. If you ever listened the BB do his radio interviews he said that the system they ran when Jimmy was QB was different from the system they ran with Tom. He knew his system well but whoever is QB BB devises a system for that QBs strength. One could argue it is helpful for the offense to get extra work on their timing, but I agree with you.
For that matter, I’m perplexed by the Garoppolo trade. He was already familiar with the system and could usefully have played several games or parts of games. If they’d wanted to trade him, why wait for the middle of the season when is value was much less than at the beginning. But that issue has been rehashed, and we don’t know for sure what Belichick’s assessment of Garoppolo's ability.
I am very concerned by this possible injury in any case.
